Overview

This document is an instruction manual for Eurodib wine cellars, specifically models USF-328S and USF-328D. It provides comprehensive information on the product's structure, installation, operation, care, maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical specifications.

Function Description

The Eurodib USF-328S and USF-328D are wine cellars designed for storing wine bottles at optimal temperatures. The USF-328S is a single-zone model, while the USF-328D is a dual-zone model, allowing for different temperature settings in its upper and lower chambers. These appliances are intended for household and similar purposes, including staff kitchen areas, residential environments, hotels, motels, bed and breakfast type environments, and catering/non-retail applications. They are designed to safely store a maximum number of bottles, with specific temperature recommendations for red (11-18°C / 52-64°F) and white (6-12°C / 43-54°F) wines.

Usage Features

  • Control Panel:
    • Single Zone (USF-328S): Features a "SETTING" display for set temperature (5°C~18°C or 41°F~64°F) and a "CHAMBER" display for actual internal temperature (0°C~37°C or 32°F~99°F). It has a "RUN" light indicating compressor operation, a "SET" button for temperature adjustment, a "LIGHT" button for cabinet light control, a "°C/°F" button for unit conversion, and an "ON/OFF" button.
    • Dual Zone (USF-328D): Features separate "UPPER CHAMBER" and "LOWER CHAMBER" displays for actual temperatures (0°C~37°C or 32°F~99°F). It has a "RUN" light, a "SET" button for the upper chamber (5°C~10°C or 41°F~50°F), a "SET" button for the lower chamber (10°C~18°C or 50°F~64°F), a "LIGHT" button, a "°C/°F" button, and an "ON/OFF" button.
  • Shelving: Both models feature big and small beech shelves with sliding guide rolls. The shelves are movable and can be pulled out for access.
  • Door Swing Reversal: The door swing can be reversed from left to right (or vice versa) by following a detailed seven-step process involving the removal and reinstallation of hinges, handle, and door support. All removed parts must be saved for this process.
  • Delay Protection: The wine cellars have a delay protection function, meaning the compressor will start 3 to 5 minutes after power connection or power off.
  • Carbon Filter: Both models include a carbon filter, likely for odor absorption.
  • Internal Fan: The USF-328S has a fan, while the USF-328D has an upper zone fan and a lower zone fan, indicating active air circulation within the chambers.
  • LED Light: Both models feature an internal LED light, which automatically turns off 10 minutes after being turned on to protect the wines.

Maintenance Features

  • Cleaning:
    • Interior: Clean with warm water and a baking soda solution (two tablespoons of baking soda per quart of water).
    • Shelves: Wash with a mild detergent solution.
    • Exterior: Wash with warm water and a mild liquid detergent, then rinse and wipe dry.
    • Electrical Parts/Controls: Wring excess water from the sponge or cloth when cleaning these areas.
    • Unplugging: Always unplug the appliance before cleaning, moving, or repairing.
  • Power Failure: Most power failures are short and won't affect temperature if door openings are minimized. For longer outages, take steps to protect contents.
  • Storage (Long-term): If not used for several months, remove all items, turn off the unit, clean and dry the interior thoroughly to prevent odors and mold, and leave the door slightly open.
  • Moving the Wine Cellar: Remove all items, securely tape loose shelves, raise adjustable legs to the lowest level, and shut the door. During transport, ensure the appliance stays upright and protect the exterior with a blanket.
  • LED Light Replacement: The LED light must be replaced by a qualified technician. It involves unscrewing the light cover and removing the LED panel to replace the light with one of the same specifications.
  • Troubleshooting Guide: The manual includes a troubleshooting guide for common issues such as the cellar not operating, not being cold enough, frequent on/off cycling, light not working, vibrations, and excessive noise. Possible causes and solutions are provided. For example, rattling noises from refrigerant flow or popping/crackling from wall expansion are noted as normal.

Safety Notes

  • Children: Keep children away from the wine cellar; never allow them to operate, play with, or crawl inside.
  • Flammable Materials: Never clean with flammable fluids. If the cellar contains R600a refrigerant, avoid placing flammable/explosive items near it.
  • Repairs: Do not attempt to repair the appliance or power cord yourself; contact qualified service personnel.
  • Door Seal: Ensure the door is fully opened when pulling out shelves to avoid damaging the door seal.
  • Placement: Place the cellar close to a power socket, on a strong floor, at least 10 cm from the wall for heat dissipation, away from direct sunlight and heat sources, and in a low-humidity area.
  • Disposal: Before disposing of an old cellar, remove the door and leave shelves in place to prevent children from climbing inside.
  • Power Cord: If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualified persons.
