Usage Features:

Controls: The machine is operated via a series of levers and joysticks. The right joystick controls the first arm and bucket movements (lowering, raising, opening, closing). The left joystick controls the second arm and, depending on a switch position, either turret rotation or arm swinging. A central lever controls the blade and undercarriage expansion/narrowing.

Safety Devices:

  • Rotation Locking Pin: A pin (1) locks the upper frame rotation and must be engaged during transport or when moving the machine from one place to another.
  • Control Lever Locking Device: A lever (2) on the control panel locks the control levers, preventing accidental movements.

Starting and Stopping:

  • Before starting, operators must be seated, ensure no one is in the operating radius, and sound the hooter. The ignition key activates an automatic check of warning lights.
  • To stop, the arm and bucket should be rested on the ground, control levers placed in neutral, the locking device engaged, the accelerator set to minimum, and the ignition key turned to '0'.

Movement and Steering:

  • The machine moves forward and backward using translation levers. Steering is achieved by moving the left or right translation levers.
  • Operating on Gradients: Avoid gradients steeper than 30° to prevent overturning. Keep the bucket low (20-30 cm from the ground) on gradients and use it to help stop the machine in emergencies. Avoid rotating the turret on downhill gradients, especially with a laden bucket.

Transporting:

  • Loading and unloading require extreme caution. Use sufficiently strong ramps and secure the machine with wedges and chains after loading.
  • The machine should be loaded with the bucket facing forward.
  • When towing, use the designated hook for emergencies only. Ensure all controls are in neutral and no one is near the machine or towing cable.

Maintenance Features:

General Rules:

  • Always perform maintenance on solid, flat ground.
  • Use EURODIG recommended oils and greases suitable for the ambient temperature.
  • Check for metal particles when changing oils and filters, consulting Customer Service if large quantities are found.
  • Attach warning signs to the ignition key and control levers during maintenance.
  • Do not use flammable liquids for cleaning.
  • Protect electrical connectors and the ignition switch from water during washing.
  • Clean the radiator frequently in dusty environments.

Refuelling and Filling:

  • Always refuel at the end of the day to prevent condensation.
  • Do not overfill the fuel tank; leave space for expansion.
  • When replacing oil filters, inspect for sediment and address any potential causes before restarting.

Regular Maintenance (Frequency in hours):

  • Check engine oil level: Every 10, 50, 100, 250, 500 hours.
  • Check coolant: Every 50, 100 hours.
  • Check fuel: Every 10 hours.
  • Check hydraulic oil: Every 10 hours.
  • Check air filter congestion: Every 10 hours.
  • Greasing: Every 10 hours.
  • Check accumulator electrolyte: Every 50 hours.
  • Change engine oil: Every 100 hours.
  • Change engine filter: Every 100 hours.
  • Clean or change engine air filter: Every 100 hours.
  • Change fuel filter: Every 250 hours.
  • Change hydraulic oil filter: Every 250 hours.
  • Change hydraulic oil: Every 500 hours.
  • Check track tension: Every 100 hours.
  • Grease the track guides: Every 100 hours.
  • Check fan belt: Every 100 hours.
  • Clean the outside of the radiator: Every 100 hours.
  • Check the translation reducer gear oil level: Every 250 hours.
  • Change the translation reducer gear oil: Every 500 hours.

Specific Maintenance Procedures:

  • Engine Oil: Check level with dipstick (3) between MIN and MAX marks when cold and on level ground. Drain by unscrewing the tank cap and removing the filler neck (4).
  • Coolant: Check level by removing the radiator cap; top up to cover cooling pipes by ~5 mm.
  • Air Filter: Clean by knocking out dust and blowing with compressed air (max 4-5 bar). Replace after 50 hours of running in.
  • Hydraulic Oil: Check level when cold, with bucket and second arm retracted and teeth resting on the ground. Drain by removing the drain cap and filler neck. Replace filter as per schedule.
  • Track Tension: Check tension and adjust if necessary. Ensure the track tightener spring guide nut has 10-15 mm play.
  • Fan Belt: Press with thumb (approx. 10 kg force) between flange and alternator; tension if deflection is greater than 10-15 mm.

Long Periods of Inactivity:

  • Clean and touch up paintwork to prevent rust.
  • Drain and replace all hydraulic system fluids and lubricants.
  • Check and clean the air filter.
  • Drain all fuel from the tank and fill with 5 liters of special cleaning fuel.
  • Run the engine for about 10 minutes to eliminate any remaining fuel in filters, injection pumps, and injectors.
  • Remove the accumulator and check the electrolyte level.
  • Open the radiator valve and remove the engine unit cap to drain the coolant.
  • Fill the radiator with coolant.
  • Check all fluid levels.
  • Fit the accumulator.
  • Change the fuel filter and purge the pipes of air.
  • Remove the cover from the drain pipe, start the engine, and run at minimum speed for about 20 minutes.
  • When heating the engine, clean the shafts of the hydraulic cylinders.
  • Before moving the machine, ensure that the instruments, warning lights, and headlights are functioning correctly.

Decommissioning:

  • If the machine is to be decommissioned, remove the accumulator, empty the fuel tank, and remove the key from the control panel.
  • Scrap and dismantle components into different categories, disposing of pollutants (accumulator, engine oil, hydraulic oil, filters) responsibly at collection centers in accordance with current legislation.
