This document describes the EUROMATIC Air Purifier, Model Number APCSM25, an appliance designed to purify indoor air in domestic environments.
Function Description
The EUROMATIC Air Purifier is designed to help maintain clean and healthy indoor air by removing pollutants and allergens. It operates by drawing in air through intake grilles located at the front and back of the appliance, processing it through a multi-layer filtration system, and then releasing purified air through an outlet on top. The system is equipped with an effective 3-in-1 filtration system, which includes an E11 HEPA-type filter, a carbon coating, and a prefilter. The E11 HEPA-type filter is capable of capturing 95% of microfine airborne particles such as dust, pollen, bacteria, and smoke. The carbon coating is designed to attract and neutralize harmful or undesirable fumes and odors that may originate from cleaning products, cooking, or new furniture. The prefilter serves to trap larger breathable particles, such as pet hair and dander. The air purifier features an air quality light that visually indicates the current air quality: green for good, yellow for average, and red for poor.

Usage Features
The air purifier is controlled via a touch control panel located on the top of the unit.
- Power On/Standby: The unit can be turned on or put into standby mode by pressing the POWER button. When in standby, the POWER indicator is illuminated with half-brightness.
- Fan Speed Selection: The SPEED button allows users to cycle through different fan speeds: AUTO, SLEEP, LOW, and HIGH.
- Auto Mode: In AUTO mode, the air purifier automatically adjusts its purification level based on real-time air quality sensor data.
- If air quality is poor (red light), the motor runs at high speed.
- If air quality is average (yellow light), the motor runs at low speed.
- If air quality is good (green light), the motor runs at very low (sleep) speed.
- Sleep Mode: When SLEEP mode is selected, the motor operates at a very low speed, and all indicator lights, including the air quality light, turn off. Only the SLEEP and POWER indicators remain lit with half-brightness. Any button press will exit SLEEP mode.
- Off-timer: The TIMER button allows users to set an automatic shut-off timer for 1 hour, 2 hours, 4 hours, or 8 hours. The appliance will automatically turn off after the selected period.
- Child Lock: This feature locks all buttons to prevent unintended changes to settings, particularly useful in households with children. It is activated by pressing the CHILD LOCK button while the appliance is in operation and deactivated by pressing it again.
Maintenance Features
- Exterior Cleaning: The outside of the unit should be cleaned monthly using a soft, dry, or slightly damp cloth. A vacuum cleaner with a soft brush attachment can be used for cleaning the air outlet and intake grilles. It is crucial to avoid using water, wax, polish, or any chemical cleaning agents on the exterior.
- Filter Maintenance: The multi-layer filtration system requires regular cleaning and/or replacement to ensure efficient operation. A FILTER RESET indicator flashes when it's time to clean or replace the filters, which occurs after approximately 2000 hours of usage.
- To access the filter, the unit needs to be tilted, and the base rotated anticlockwise until it can be removed. The carbon-coated HEPA-type filter can then be taken out.
- Filters should be cleaned using a soft, dry brush to remove dust and debris. Water or household cleaners must never be used on the filtration system.
- Filters should be replaced when they are worn, damaged, or when the air purification effect diminishes even after cleaning. Spare filters are available for purchase from the after-sales support center.
- After cleaning or replacing the filters, the FILTER RESET button must be pressed to reset the usage counter.
- Storage: For extended periods of non-use, the unplugged appliance should be stored safely in its original packaging in a dry location, out of reach of children. Heavy items should not be placed on top of the appliance during storage to prevent damage.
- Service and Repair: The air purifier has no user-serviceable parts inside, except for the filter. Users are advised not to attempt to disassemble, modify, or repair the unit. All repairs should be carried out by an electrical specialist. For service or advice, contact the after-sales support center.
