Function Description
The EuropAce EDY 5701T is a vented tumble dryer that removes moisture from laundry by expelling warm, moist air outside. It offers various drying programs and options to cater to different fabric types and drying needs. The appliance features automatic controlled drying, which detects moisture levels and adjusts drying time, as well as time-controlled drying for specific durations. A cooling phase is included at the end of each program to cool the laundry and prevent creasing. An anti-creasing phase extends for up to 30 minutes if laundry is not removed immediately.

Usage Features
The dryer is equipped with a control panel featuring a programme selector dial, sequence indicator lights, and buttons for Start/Pause, Delay, Delicate Program, and Quick Program.
Control Panel Elements:
- Programme Selector Dial: Used to select the desired drying program. Programs are categorized into Cottons, Synthetics, Time, and Special.
- Sequence Indicator Lights: Show the current phase of the drying cycle: Drying, Cooling, End, and Filter (to remind for cleaning).
- Start/Pause Button: Initiates or pauses the selected program.
- Delay Button and Lights: Allows delaying the start of a program by 3, 6, or 12 hours.
- Delicate Program Button: Enables drying at a lower temperature for delicate items. Not compatible with "Quick" or time-based programs (30min, 60min, 90min) or "Special" program.
- Quick Program Button: Reduces drying time by 3-5 minutes for "Extra", "Cupboard+", and "Iron" programs. Not compatible with "Delicate" option.

Loading Guidelines:
- Cottons/Linen: Drum full but not too tightly packed.
- Synthetics: Drum no more than half full.
- Delicate fabrics/Woollens: Drum no more than quarter full.
- Always follow garment label instructions for tumble drying suitability (may be tumble dried, normal drying, delicate drying, do not tumble dry).
- Close fasteners (zips, buttons, hooks, ties) to prevent tangling.
- Sort laundry by type and required drying degree.
- Avoid over-drying to prevent creasing and save energy.
- Thoroughly spin laundry before drying.
- Remove all objects from pockets (lighters, matches, metal objects).
Installation:
- The dryer should be positioned on a firm, level surface in a clean, well-ventilated area.
- Adjustable feet allow for leveling the appliance.
- The vent hose must be fitted to expel moist air outside, either temporarily through an open window or permanently to a fixed ventilation grille. Ensure the hose is not squashed to maintain drying efficiency.
- Electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician, ensuring proper earthing.
Maintenance Features
Care and Cleaning:
- General Cleaning: Disconnect from electricity before cleaning. Use only soap and water for external cleaning; avoid methylated spirit or diluents.
- Door Cleaning: Periodically clean the interior of the door to remove fluff, ensuring correct drying.
- Filter Cleaning: The filter must be cleaned after each program cycle, before removing laundry, using a damp cloth. The filter can be removed for cleaning. Do not use the appliance without the filter.
Troubleshooting:
The manual provides a troubleshooting guide for common issues such as the dryer not working, unsatisfactory drying results, short drying cycles, or unusually long drying times. Solutions include checking power plug, door closure, program selection, and cleaning the lint filter. If problems persist, contact the service center.
Thermostat Reset:
If the heating element malfunctions during operation, turn the program selector dial to "Air Dry", press the start button, wait approximately 20 minutes, then press the thermostat reset button located at the back of the appliance.
Environmental Concerns:
- Packaging materials are recyclable (polyethylene, polystyrene, polypropylene).
- Old appliances should be disposed of at authorized sites for recycling electrical and electronic equipment.
- Warning: Oil-affected items can spontaneously ignite when exposed to heat. If drying such items is unavoidable, they should first be washed in hot water with extra detergent.
