The dryer offers both automatic controlled drying, which detects moisture and adjusts drying time, and time-controlled drying for specific durations. Usage Features

The dryer is operated via a control panel with a program selector dial and several option buttons:

  • Program Selector Dial: Allows selection of various drying programs based on fabric type (Cottons, Synthetics, Mix) or specific needs (Special, Time). Programs include Extra, Light, Iron, Cupboard, Anti-Bac, Freshing Up, Baby Care, Down, and timed options (15', 60', 120').

Loading Laundry:

  • Always follow garment label instructions for tumble drying.
  • Avoid tumble drying delicate items like net curtains, wool, silk, fabrics with metal trim, nylon tights, bulky materials (anoraks, blankets, eiderdowns, sleeping bags, feather quilts), and items containing rubber foam.
  • Close fasteners (pillowcases, zips, hooks, poppers) and tie belts/apron strings to prevent tangling.
  • Sort laundry by type and desired dryness level.
  • Do not overload; recommended loads are: drum full but not too tightly packed for cotton/linen, no more than half full for synthetics, and no more than quarter full for delicate fabrics/woollens.
  • Ensure laundry is thoroughly spun before drying.
  • Remove all metal objects (hair clips, safety pins, pins) and items from pockets (lighters, matches).
  • Items spotted or soaked with vegetable/cooking oil are a fire hazard and should not be dried. If stain remover was used, an extra rinse cycle is required.
  • Never stop a tumble dry before the end of the cycle unless items are quickly removed and spread out to dissipate heat.

Program Modification:

  • To change a running program, turn the selector dial to "O" to cancel, then select a new program and press Start.
  • If stopping a program early, turn the dial to "Air Dry" and wait for the cooling phase to prevent heat build-up.

Maintenance Features

  • Disconnection: Always disconnect the appliance from the electricity supply before cleaning or maintenance.
  • External Cleaning: Use only soap and water, then dry thoroughly. Avoid methylated spirit, diluents, or similar products.
  • Door Cleaning: Periodically clean the interior of the door to remove fluff, ensuring correct drying.
  • Filter Cleaning: The filter must be cleaned at the end of each program, before removing laundry, using a damp cloth. The dryer will not function well if the filter is dirty. The filter is removable for cleaning.
  • Thermostat Reset: If the heating element malfunctions, turn the program selector dial to "Air Dry," press start, wait approximately 20 minutes, then press the thermostat reset button located at the back of the appliance.
  • Installation:
    • Position the dryer on a firm, level surface in a clean, well-ventilated area, away from fire/heat sources and direct sunlight.
    • Adjustable feet allow for leveling. Locknuts must be tightened after adjustment to prevent vibration and noise.
    • The vent hose should be connected to an outlet, avoiding more than two bends. A small hole (3mm dia.) can be drilled at the lowest point of the hose to drain condensed moisture.
    • Ensure adequate ventilation to prevent backflow of gases from other fuel-burning appliances.
    • The appliance must not be built-in.
    • All packing materials must be removed before use.
    • Check for included accessories: Vent Hose (1) and Manual (1).
    • If moved, the appliance must be transported vertically.

Environmental Concerns:

  • Packaging materials are recyclable (PE, PS, PP).
  • Dispose of old appliances at authorized disposal sites.
  • Oil-affected items can ignite spontaneously; wash them in hot water with extra detergent before drying to reduce hazard.
  • To save energy, load the machine to its maximum capacity as small loads are uneconomical.
