Overview

The EuropAce EWF 6162V is a 16-inch wall fan with a remote control, designed for household use. It offers a blend of functionality, convenience, and safety features for effective air circulation.

Function Description

This wall fan is primarily designed to provide cooling and air circulation within a room. It features an oscillating function to enlarge the fan coverage area, distributing air over a wider scope. The fan can be operated via a control panel on the unit or a remote control, offering flexibility in managing its settings. It includes multiple speed settings and a timer function for customized operation. The fan is intended for fixed wall installation, ensuring stability and optimal air distribution from an elevated position.

Important Technical Specifications

  • Model Number: EWF 6162V
  • Voltage: 220-240V~50Hz
  • Power: 50W
  • Fan Size: 16 inches
  • Warranty: 8 years for the motor and 2 years for parts.
  • Noise Level: <67 dB
  • Energy Efficiency: 1.00 m³/(min·W)

The fan's structure comprises several key components:

  1. Motor: The core power unit for blade rotation.
  2. Wall fan body: The main housing that attaches to the wall.
  3. Control panel: Located on the fan body for manual operation.
  4. Black grill: The rear protective cover.
  5. Fasten nut: Secures components during assembly.
  6. Grill belt: Helps secure the grills.
  7. Fan blade: The rotating element that moves air.
  8. Fan blade nut: Secures the fan blade.
  9. Front grill: The front protective cover.

Usage Features

Assembly and Installation: The fan requires assembly before use. The back grill is attached to the fan head using a fastening nut, and the fan blade is secured with a fan blade nut. The front grill is then attached to the back grill using a grill ring and screw. For wall mounting, the user needs to mark the position on the wall according to the hanging plate, drill two 6mm holes (for cement walls), insert plastic expansion pipes, and fix the hanging plate with screws. The fan body's back hook then hangs onto the fixed hanging board. It is crucial to ensure the installed height is greater than 1.8m and that the hanging board is firmly secured.

Operation: After plugging in the fan, a "beep" sound indicates it's ready, though the indicator light will initially be off.

  • On/Off and Speed Control: Pressing the "On/Off speed" button starts the fan at speed "1". Subsequent presses cycle through speeds "1", "2", "3", and then "shut down". A "beep" sound confirms selection at the shutdown state.
  • Timer Function: The "TIMER" button allows setting an operating duration between 0.5 and 7.5 hours. The corresponding pilot light illuminates to indicate the selected timing.
  • Oscillation: Pressing the "OSC" button activates the oscillation feature, allowing the fan to sweep air across a wider area. Pressing it again stops the oscillation.
  • Shutdown: To completely turn off the fan, all controls should be set to off, and the plug removed from the socket-outlet.

Remote Control: The fan comes with a remote control for convenient operation from a distance. The remote requires two AAA batteries. Users are advised to avoid dropping or hitting the remote and to remove batteries if not in use for extended periods to prevent leakage.

Maintenance Features

Regular maintenance is essential to ensure the longevity and safe operation of the fan.

  • Safety Precautions: Never immerse the fan in water. Avoid using harsh cleaning chemicals like detergents and abrasives. Prevent water from entering the interior (especially the PCB) to avoid electrical hazards.
  • Cleaning: Always unplug the fan from the socket-outlet and allow it to stop completely before cleaning. The external surfaces can be cleaned with a soft, damp (not dripping wet) cloth.
  • Storage: When not in use, ensure the fan is unplugged. It can be stored in its original carton in a cool, dry place.
  • Repairs: In case of malfunction or doubt, do not attempt to repair the fan yourself. Repairs should only be carried out by a qualified person to prevent fire hazards or electric shock.

The EuropAce EWF 6162V is backed by a comprehensive warranty, with online registration recommended within 7 days of purchase to extend the standard warranty period. The warranty covers faulty design, workmanship, or materials for 12 months (or as otherwise stated) but becomes void if the appliance is tampered with, repaired by unauthorized persons, or used for commercial purposes.
