Overview

The FRAME-EVO-P20 / P20-US is a robust mounting frame designed for the secure transportation, installation, and adjustment of specific Panasonic projectors. Manufactured by EXACT solutions GmbH, this frame is intended for use by qualified, trained, and competent personnel in closed indoor environments such as conference rooms, theaters, and convention halls, where it is protected from wind, moisture, and excessive heat.

Function Description:

The primary function of the FRAME-EVO-P20 / P20-US is to provide a stable and adjustable platform for compatible Panasonic projectors. It facilitates precise alignment and positioning of projectors for various applications, including stacking multiple frames and mounting on trusses. The frame is designed to accommodate ultra-short throw lenses like the ET-D75LE90 or ET-D75LE95, offering a tool-free installation version for these specific lenses.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Model Numbers:
    • European market: FRAME-EVO-P20 (Panasonic EU m.no.: ET-RFD60)

    • PT-DZ21K, PT-DZ16K, PT-DS20K, PT-RQ13K, PT-RZ12K
    • PT-DZ21K2, PT-DZ16K2, PT-DW17K, PT-RQ22K, PT-RZ21K
    • PT-DW17K2, PT-RS11K
  • Dimensions (FRAME-EVO-P20 / P20-US):
    • Width: 883 mm (34.764 in)
    • Depth: 718.5 mm (28.2 in)
    • Height: 435 mm (17.126 in)
    • Frame weight: 16 kg (35.27 lbs) (only frame)
  • Dimensions (Installation Version - without Upper Ring):
    • Width: 883 mm (34.764 in)
    • Depth: 743.50 mm (29.272 in)
    • Height: 185.70 mm (7.311 in)
    • Frame weight: 11.7 kg (25.79 lbs) (only frame)
  • Maximum Load Capacity: The structure from which up to 3 FRAME-EVO-P20 / P20-US frames, including projectors, can be hung must support an overall weight of approximately 290 kg (639.34 lbs) plus the weight of all additional equipment and potential systems. This calculation is based on 3 x (weight of heaviest projector + weight of heaviest lens + weight of FRAME-EVO-P20 / P20-US).
  • Mounting Holes: 4 x M8 and 4 x M10 threaded holes for attaching mounting accessories.
  • Screws for Projector Mounting: 6 x M6x30 ISO 7380 screws (galvanized steel 10.9) with 6 x Ø6 Schnorr Washers. Torque: 4±0.5 Nm.

Usage Features:

  • Projector Installation: Projectors are mounted upside down into the frame. The lens should be removed first for easier access. The frame is positioned over the projector, aligning M6 screw holes, and secured with the provided screws and Schnorr Washers.
  • Upper Ring Removal (Installation Version): For installing ultra-short throw lenses (ET-D75LE90 or ET-D75LE95), the upper ring can be quickly and tool-free removed. This involves removing 4 spring clips and unscrewing 4 attachment nuts until they are loose. Reinstallation follows the reverse process, ensuring spring clips are reinserted.
  • Adjustment Options:
    • Roll: Using hand levers on the left and right, the projector's position can be adjusted by ±2.6 degrees. Turning the levers in opposite directions rolls the projector around its center axis.
    • Pitch: The projector can be lowered by -2.2 degrees and lifted by +2.8 degrees using the side hand levers.
    • Yaw: An adjustment screw below the projector allows moving the back of the projector left or right by ±2.6 degrees.
  • Stacking Frames: Multiple frames can be stacked. The upper frame with a mounted projector is placed on top of a lower frame. Four male bolts enter into corresponding female bolts, and locking pins are inserted through the holes in the female bolts to secure the stack.
  • Mounting on a Truss: The frame can be hung on a truss using recommended accessories like the EVO-LINK-200 series, attached via the M8 or M10 threaded holes.
  • Optional Accessories:
    • EVO-LINK-200 series (EVO-LINK-200, EVO-LINK-201, EVO-LINK-210, EVO-LINK-211): Optional accessories for truss mount installations.
    • FRAME-PF-UNI-PORAD (Portrait Adapter): Optional accessory for portrait mode truss mount installations, used with the EVO-LINK-200 series.
    • FRAME-PF-UNI-CLP5030 (Rigging Clamps): Optional accessory for hanging one FRAME-EVO-P20 / P20-US or two in tandem mode on a truss. A set includes 4 pieces.
    • FRAME-PF-UNI-CLP30PT (Rigging Clamps): Optional accessory for portrait mode table installation. A set includes 4 pieces.
  • Safety Features: Always secure the frame to the rigging truss with at least two sets of rigging slings with steel cable inserts and shackles to prevent a fall of more than 10 cm.

Maintenance Features:

  • Visual Inspection (Prior to Every Installation):
    • Careful inspection of M8 and M10 mounting holes for damage or broken threads.
    • Verification that all screws are in place and none are missing.
    • Checking screws, nuts, stacking pins, connection rods, mounting plate, and all components for bending, damage, or breakage.
    • If any parts are broken or missing, contact the seller for spare parts.
  • Sealing Wax: Red sealing wax is applied to three specific screws and nuts to ensure they remain in their set positions and prevent unauthorized tightening or loosening. Manipulation of these nuts is strictly prohibited as it can block the adjustment mechanism and lead to accidents. If the sealing wax is broken or a nut is moved, the manufacturer must be contacted.
  • Annual Meticulous Inspection: A qualified person must perform a thorough inspection every year to check for any damaged or broken components.
  • Part Replacement: Only manufacturer-accredited parts should be used for replacement to prevent serious injuries and property damage.
