Why is there high Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) in the Excalibur EWR 5100P Water System product water?
    • N
      Nathan WilliamsAug 11, 2025
High Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) in the Excalibur product water can stem from several causes. Check if the Sediment Pre-filter or Activated Carbon Pre-filter is clogged, and replace the Reverse Osmosis filters if needed. Ensure that the Reverse Osmosis Feed Water Pressure is above 40 psig. Inspect the Reverse Osmosis Membrane O-ring and brine seal for any crimping or sealing issues. If the Reverse Osmosis Membrane is expended, consider replacing it after identifying and correcting the underlying problem.

How to fix tastes and odors in the Excalibur EWR 5100P Water System Reverse Osmosis Product Water?
    • C
      Chad JimenezAug 16, 2025
If you have tastes and odors in the Reverse Osmosis Product Water of your Excalibur system, start by checking the In-Line or Activated Carbon Pre-filter; if it's exhausted, replace the Reverse Osmosis Filters. Also, check for any foreign matter in the Reverse Osmosis Holding Tank; if present, clean, flush, and sanitize the system, and replace the filters. Ensure the Product Water and Reverse Osmosis Drain Water lines are correctly plumbed. Dissolved gasses in the Reverse Osmosis Feed Water can also cause this issue, so consider pre-treating the water to remove them. Finally, check for an increase in Product Water TDS.

What to do if there is low pressure at the Excalibur Water System Reverse Osmosis Dispensing Faucet?
    • R
      Ronald CollinsAug 20, 2025
Low pressure at the Reverse Osmosis Dispensing Faucet of your Excalibur system can be due to several reasons. The In-Line Activated Carbon Post Filter might be plugged, requiring replacement. The air pre-charge in the Reverse Osmosis Holding Tank could be too low; empty the tank and adjust the air pressure to 5 – 7 psig. Ensure the Reverse Osmosis Holding Tank Valve is fully open. The dispensing Faucet itself may be out of adjustment or faulty, needing repair or replacement. Heavy water use could deplete the Reverse Osmosis Holding Tank, so allow it to refill (or add a second tank to increase storage capacity). Also, consider low water production.

What causes the Reverse Osmosis Drain Water to overflow at the Excalibur EWR 5100P Water System Air Gap Faucet?
    • L
      Lisa FischerAug 26, 2025
If the Reverse Osmosis Drain Water overflows at the Air Gap Faucet of your Excalibur system, check for a clogged drain tubing and clear it. Ensure the drain clamp hole is properly aligned with the hole in the drain pipe. If the drain flow rate is excessive, replace the Reverse Osmosis Drain Restrictor.

How to fix a Reverse Osmosis Faucet that leaks or drips in the Excalibur EWR 5100P Water System?
    • M
      matthew39Aug 28, 2025
If your Excalibur Reverse Osmosis Faucet leaks or drips, here are a few things to check: If the leaks are from the spout, adjust the faucet by turning the tee bar just below the handle to provide a small amount of free play in the handle when shut off. If O-rings are bad, repair or replace the faucet. For leaks from the base of the delivery tube, replace the O-ring. If the leaks are from beneath the handle, the O-rings are bad; repair or replace the faucet.

How to resolve Reverse Osmosis Fitting leaks in the Excalibur EWR 5100P?
    • J
      Jordan WellsSep 1, 2025
If you encounter Reverse Osmosis Fitting leaks in your Excalibur system, close the Reverse Osmosis Feed Water Ball Valve and relieve pressure before disconnecting any tubing or replacing any fitting. Before replacing a fitting, try re-cutting the tubing and re-inserting it into the fitting to see if that resolves the leak. If pipe threads are leaking, remove the fitting and re-tape with Teflon tape.

Why is there a low quantity of Reverse Osmosis product water from the Excalibur EWR 5100P holding tank?
    • C
      Charles SanchezNov 6, 2025
If you're experiencing a low quantity of Reverse Osmosis product water from the holding tank, several factors could be at play. The Reverse Osmosis Feed Water Ball Valve might be plugged or closed – try opening or unclogging it. It could also be due to clogged Sediment or Activated Carbon Pre-filters, in which case you should replace them. Low water pressure (below 40 psig) or a fouled Reverse Osmosis Membrane could also be responsible; inspect the membrane and address any issues, replacing it if necessary. Other potential causes include a plugged In-Line Activated Carbon Post Filter (replace it), incorrect air pre-charge pressure in the Holding Tank (adjust to 5 – 7 psig after emptying the tank), a ruptured Air Bladder in the Holding Tank (replace the tank), a closed Holding Tank Valve (o...
