Why does soot accumulate quickly on the glass of my Extraflame Stove?
    • P
      Paul ValentineAug 14, 2025
Soot may accumulate quickly on the glass of your Extraflame Stove due to several reasons. The appliance or vent pipe might be dirty, restricting airflow. Burnpot holes could be blocked. There might be a blockage in the air intake pipe. A circuit board malfunction or poor quality pellets may also be the cause. Also, the pellet feed adjustment might be too high. You can try a different brand of pellets, ensuring you clean the burnpot, check the air intake pipe, and verify the pellet feed adjustment.

What to do if my Extraflame Stove has no ignition?
    • S
      Stephen TaylorAug 18, 2025
If your Extraflame Stove fails to ignite, several factors could be responsible. The hopper might be out of pellets, or the pellet feed calibration could be inadequate. The burnpot might not be seated correctly, or the ignitor could be defective. Blockages in the air inlet, burnpot, combustion air chamber, combustion blower, or exhaust pipe can also prevent ignition. Additionally, check if the door or ash pan is open or not closed correctly, or the vacuum switch may be faulty. Incorrect installation can also lead to ignition problems. Refill the hopper, check the pellet flow, ensure all cleaning and maintenance has been carried out, and properly seat the burnpot.

What to do if my Extraflame Stove smells of smoke?
    • E
      Elizabeth MaldonadoAug 21, 2025
If you notice a smoke smell coming back into your home from your Extraflame Stove, there may be a leak in the vent pipe system. Inspect all the vent pipe connections and ensure they are sealed with RTV silicone that has a temperature rating of 260°C (500°F) or higher. Also, seal joints with UL-181-AP foil tape and ensure the square to round adapter piece on the combustion blower has been properly sealed with the same RTV.

What to do if my Extraflame Stove shows 'NO PELLET'?
    • C
      Corey MendezAug 25, 2025
If your Extraflame Stove displays a 'NO PELLET' error, it could be due to several reasons: the hopper might be empty, the flame might have gone out in the burn pot, the flue gases temperature may have dropped, a fuse on the control board might have blown, or there could be a loose wire or connector. Refill the hopper, adjust the trim of combustion blower down and auger motor up, check the pellet flow, remove and inspect the fuse, and inspect all wires and connectors.

What to do if my Extraflame Stove shows 'COMMAND AUGER ALARM'?
    • M
      Martha McbrideAug 28, 2025
If your Extraflame Stove displays a 'COMMAND AUGER ALARM', it could indicate that the auger shaft is jammed, the auger motor has failed, or there's an abnormal functioning of pellet feeding. Start by disconnecting the power supply and emptying the hopper. If the motor will turn, the shaft is jammed on something. If the motor will not turn, the motor is defective.
