Use Template to Check Door Holes

Verify door holes match the template for proper lock installation. Consult door prep section if mismatches occur.

Install Latch

Install the latch mechanism into the door. Remove sleeve if hole is 7/8" (22 mm).

Lock Assembly Steps

Adjust Rose

Adjust the rose for door thickness (1-3/8" or 1-3/4") by rotating until stops.

Install Outside Chassis Assembly

Attach the exterior chassis assembly to the door, ensuring the latch tail is properly aligned.

Install Cylinder

Insert the cylinder into the chassis, rotating the key if necessary for proper fit.

Install Inside Mounting Plate

Secure the interior mounting plate to the door, preparing for the interior knob installation.

Final Assembly and Checks

Install Inside Rose

Attach the interior rose to the mounting plate, aligning the notch with the cable.

Install Inside Knob

Press the interior knob into place, ensuring it is securely seated.

Install Strike

Mount the strike plate on the door frame using the provided screws.

Check SFIC Knob Orientation

Verify the correct orientation of the SFIC knob by rotating it to reveal the internal catch.

Door Preparation

Determine Bevel

Identify the door's bevel (flat or beveled) to ensure correct lock installation.

Mark Centerline and Drill Points

Mark the door centerline and drill points for latch and deadbolt holes.

Drill Latch and Strike Holes

Drill holes for the latch and strike plate, ensuring proper depth and alignment.

Mortise for Strike

Create a mortise in the door frame for the strike plate for a flush fit.
