Usage Features

Assembly:

  1. Place the appliance on a clean, flat, and heat-resistant surface.
  2. Ensure the oil reservoir is secured in the correct position, with round edges opposite the connecting plate of the housing.
  3. Insert the control panel assembly into the slots of the connecting plate on the back of the housing.
  4. Lock the basket handle in place in the frying basket by pressing the bars together, sliding the handle between the slots, and inserting the ends of the bar into the bracket on the frying basket. Incorrect assembly can lead to instability and injury.
  5. Pour cooking oil into the oil reservoir, ensuring it is between the minimum (2L) and maximum (2.5L) fill lines. Do not over or under fill.
  6. Spread a little oil on the inside of the view window to prevent condensation.
  7. Place the lid onto the housing.

Operation:

  1. Attach the magnetic plug to the socket on the back of the control assembly, ensuring the "THIS SIDE UP" side is facing up.
  2. Insert the power cord plug into a wall outlet. The POWER and READY indicators will turn on.
  3. Turn the temperature control knob to the desired temperature. The READY indicator will illuminate when the set temperature is reached.
    • Approximate preheating times:
      • 375°F / 190°C: about 13 minutes
      • 340°F / 170°C: about 10 minutes
      • 300°F / 150°C: about 8 minutes
      • 265°F / 130°C: about 7 minutes
  4. After preheating, remove the lid.
  5. Lift out the frying basket and place it on a heat-resistant surface or trivet.
  6. Fill the frying basket with food, ensuring not to overfill (do not fill over half way to prevent excess foaming and oil overflow). Food must be dry; remove ice particles from frozen foods.
  7. Carefully lower the frying basket into the oil reservoir.
  8. Immediately cover the appliance with the lid to prevent hot oil splashing.
  9. After frying, remove the lid.
  10. Lift the frying basket and hang it onto the basket hook on the rim of the oil reservoir to drain excess oil.
  11. Carefully lift the basket and pour the food onto a paper towel-lined plate.
  12. Turn the temperature control knob to the OFF position.
  13. Disconnect the plug from the wall outlet, then remove the magnetic plug from the appliance.

  • Discard oil if it smells rancid, darkens, foams strongly, or smokes at normal operating temperature.
  • Store used oil in a cool, dark place, not subject to sunlight, for up to 3 months after opening, observing manufacturer's directions.

Reset Feature:

  • If the appliance overheats and switches off, unplug it and allow it and the oil to cool completely.
  • Once cooled, use a ballpoint pen or pencil to push the reset button located at the back of the control assembly.
