6. Dismantling
1. Remove 4 fillister screws (27), then take off motor housing
cover (23).
2. Unscrew carbon holder caps (16) and remove carbon brushes
(17).

Slacken 4 fillister screws (45) and (46), then take off handle
cover (42).
4. Unscrew 3 hexagon socket screws (82) and remove outer
bearing (79) (head). Press slightly on the tool holder (78) to
make sure that it will remain at the percussion mechanism.
5. Pull the percussion piston (76) slightly to bring the percussion
assembly straight out of the in te rmediate bearing (59).
6. Clean percussion mechanism of old grease and, if n ece ssary,
disassemble to replace worn parts. If trouble cannot be re-
removed, return the entire unit to our service centre for over-
haul.
7. Remove intermediate bearing (59) and, at the same time, draw
armature (51) out of motor hous . ing (1).
8. Separate intermediate bearing (59) and armature (51).
Re-assemble in reverse sequence .

Assembly Instructions for Percussion Mechanism
(Designation: Combined Drive Assembly)
The parts of the p erc ussion m ec hanism are made of high-quality
steel, so that they do not we ar considerably during normal duty .
Should disassembling prove necessary after a long period of
application it will be easily carried out.
Fix the percussion mechanism at the drive assembly vertically
in the vice. Then the "Seeger" circlip may be taken out of the
drive assembly by means of a pair of angle pincers (Seeger-
Order-R e fer enc e J 31). The compression spring (75) relaxes and
draws out the ball pivot (72) together with the lo wer retaining
ring (7 3 ). Remove the percussion pi ston (76), the int ermed iat e

The percussion mechanism may also be taken apart by means
of a pair of straight "Seeger"-pincers (Order Reference J 3).
When doing so, first draw the intermediate shaft (71) out of the
percuss ion mechanism . By the spring tens ion the percuss i on
piston is kept in its centric position. Press the percussion piston
sidewards as far as necessary to remove the " Seeger" circl ip
with a pair of normal p incers . When re-assembling the percus-
sion mechanism mak e sure t ha t the "Seeger" circlips fit com-
pletely in th e ir groov es.
