Avoid damage to the F-1860 when testing: disconnect the test leads from
the test points before changing functions.

Ohms cannot be measured when voltage is present. They can only be
measured in a non-powered circuit. However, the F-1860 is protected up to
500V.
MEASURING BASICS
Protective Rubber Casing
The rubber casing has been designed to protect the F-1860 when accidentally
dropped. Additionally, it provides a convenient storage method for the test
probes. It is also useful for holding one of the test probes, while leaving another
hand free to operate the other test probe while holding the F-1860 in the other
hand. (see figure x).
