Save all warnings and instructions for future
reference.
- The machine should only be used by appointed
persons instructed in correct machine han-
dling.
- Use original Festool accessories only.
- Warning: the machine may contain hazardous
dust. Only authorised and qualifi ed personnel
with suitable protective equipment may perform
maintenance work, including emptying the con-
tainer and changing the fi lter. Do not operate the
machine without a fully fi tted lter system.
- The machine is not intended for use by persons
(including children) with limited physical, sensory
or mental ability or without suffi cient experience
and/or knowledge, unless they are supervised by
a person responsible for their safety or have been
instructed on how to use the machine. Children
should always be supervised to ensure that they
do not play with the machine.
- Observe the safety requirements that apply for
the dust you intend to extract.
- Risk of explosion and fi re hazard: do not extract
sparks or hot dust, fl ammable or explosive dust
(e.g. magnesium, aluminium), fl ammable or
explosive fl uids (e.g. petrol, thinner), aggressive
uids/solids (e.g. acid, leach, solvent). This mo-
bile dust extractor is suitable for extracting paint
dust. Operate the machine in a well-ventilated
room!
- Pull the plug from the socket when the machine
is not in use and prior to maintenance and clean-
ing work.
- Check the plug and the cable regularly and have
them replaced by an authorised after-sales serv-
ice workshop should either become damaged.
- Always replace the mains power cable with the
type specifi ed in the manual.
- Do not damage the mains power cable (e.g. by
driving over, dragging, etc.). Do not pull the plug
from socket by the cable.
- Always use the machine socket for the purpose
specifi ed in the manual.
- Clean the integral water level fl oat regularly and
check for damage.
- Do not expose the machine to rain.
- Do not lift or transport the machine by the handle
using a crane or lifting gear.
- For reasons of safety, never operate the machine
from an unearthed socket.
6 Commissioning
WARNING
Risk of accident if the machine is operated using
unauthorised voltages or frequencies.
- The operating voltage specifi ed on the mobile
dust extractor name plate must match the
voltage of the mains power!
- Make sure that the mobile dust extractor is
switched off when plugging in the mains ca-
ble.
6.1 Assembling the machine
The parts included in the scope of delivery are en-
closed inside the dust container [1-1] on delivery
and must be removed before initial use.
• Affi x the accompanying sticker in your national
language over the text fi eld on the warning sign
[1-3].
Inserting the fi lter bag/disposal bag
Remove the top section [Fig. 2].
Insert the disposal bag [Fig. 3] or the fi lter bag
[Fig. 4].
Replace the top section and close the locking
clips.
Inserting the cable hook
• Slide the cable hook [1-7] for storing the mains
power cable into the holder [1-8] from above.
6.2 Preparing for use with the PLANEX
To use the mobile dust extractor in combination
with the PLANEX:
Fit the tool holder as described in the there en-
closed installation instructions.
You can store sandpaper, the brush segment and
the PLANEX on the tool holder storage area.
Only use disposal bags when performing extrac-
tion work with the PLANEX.
6.3 Switching the machine on/off
Make sure that the connected machine is
switched off before actuating the switch [1-4].
"0" switch position
Appliance socket [1-5] is disconnected from the
power, mobile dust extractor is switched off.
"MAN" switch position
Appliance socket is connected to the power, extrac-
tion motor starts.
"Auto" switch position
Appliance socket is connected to the power, extrac-
tion motor starts when the connected machine is
switched on.
