The Filtropur® SFS 10000 Series Portable Room Air Cleaner is an advanced air purification system designed to deliver healthy air to indoor spaces. It utilizes a patented SFS Filtration System, which is described as "the top of the line in clean air filtration."

Function Description:

The primary function of the Filtropur® SFS 10000 Series is to purify indoor air by capturing a wide range of airborne contaminants. It is designed for "plug and play" operation, meaning it is ready for use upon setup. The system aims to provide continuous microorganism capture and advanced air purification, making it suitable for residential use. The device is intended to be placed on a flat and level surface to ensure continuous airflow, with air entering through a 360° intake system at the bottom and clean air being diffused evenly from the top outlet grill.

Important Technical Specifications:

Power: Operates on a 120 Volt, AC, earth-grounded electrical outlet. It is crucial not to use a wall outlet adapter or an extension cord with this unit.
Filtration Efficiency: Captures up to 99.99% of active microorganisms, including viruses, bacteria, mold, and fungi spores. It is 99.99% efficient in capturing particles at 0.3 micron size.
Contaminant Capture: Effectively captures dust, mold, pollen, dust mite debris, and pet dander.
Filter Capacity: Holds up to 4 times more pollutants than similar size HEPA filters.
Sealed Filter Chambers: Guarantees 99.99% filtration of all incoming contaminants.
Motor/Blower: Features a sealed dual ball bearing blower motor that creates laminar flow across the SFS filter, preventing any particles from the motor from entering the air stream.

Usage Features:

Placement: Designed as a portable floor model. It should be placed anywhere in the room, ensuring that the intake grill and top outlet grill are not blocked by drapes or other objects. For optimal performance, it is recommended to place the air cleaner at a reasonable distance from walls and heat sources.
Control Panel: The unit features a control panel with indicator lights for On/Off, Main Filter status, and Bio-Monitor status.
Indicator Lights:
- On/Off: Green light indicates the unit is on.
- Main Filter Light: Green light is ON when the Main Filter is operating at full efficiency. When the light goes OFF, it signals that the Main Filter needs replacement.
- Bio Monitor Light: Green light ON indicates continuous microorganism capture. If this light goes OFF, microorganism capture has been interrupted, and the unit should be turned off, unplugged, and serviced.
Speed Control: The control panel includes a 3-speed control setting.
Safety Precautions:
- Always unplug the air cleaner before moving it, opening the top lid, changing filters, or cleaning.
- Do not place foreign objects inside the unit.
- Do not use if any part is missing or damaged.
- Keep the power cord away from traffic areas and do not run it under carpeting or near heat sources.
- Never operate in areas with combustible gases, vapors, or flammable materials.
- Never immerse the unit in water or other liquids, spray with liquids, or clean under running water.
- Designed for indoor, residential use only; not for industrial or severe commercial applications.
- Do not operate with a damaged cord or plug, or after malfunction/damage.
- A short power supply cord is provided to reduce tripping hazards; extension cords should not be used.

Maintenance Features:

Filter System: The unit incorporates a multi-stage filtration system:
- SFS Main Filter: This is the primary filter for maximum decontamination. Its average life expectancy is 12 months. Replacement of this filter extends or renews the warranty for another year.
- Activated Adsorbent Post Filter: Helps remove normal household odors. Recommended replacement every 90 days (3 months).
- Replaceable Carbon Adsorption Pre-filter: For particle collection, VOC gas odor, and chemical reduction. Helps prolong the life of the main filter. Recommended replacement every 90 days (3 months).
Filter Replacement Instructions: Detailed instructions are provided for replacing the Post Filter, SFS Main Filter, and Carbon Pre-Filter, including steps for accessing the filters, proper installation, and securing them.
Cleaning the Unit:
- Before cleaning, turn off and unplug the unit.
- Clean exterior surfaces with a soft cloth dampened with water.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners or spray liquid cleaners.
- Gently wipe off the ionization wires (located directly below the main filter) inside the unit with a dry, static-free cloth, being careful not to apply tension or pressure.
Ordering Replacement Filters: Replacement filters can be ordered directly from a Filtropur Authorized Dealer. Customer Service contact information is provided for assistance.
Warranty: The device comes with a one-year limited warranty on materials and workmanship, excluding filters. The warranty can be extended annually by purchasing and installing a genuine SFS main filter from FVS or an authorized dealer and returning the Renewable Lifetime Limited Warranty card. Registration of the product within 10 days of purchase is required for warranty coverage. The warranty covers parts and labor for repairs and serves as ownership verification.
