Setting a pallet on the chain
• Select manual mode from the SU control panel.
• Using the chain manual operation buttons, run the desired SU chain loading stoppers to the
loading location.
• Set the pallet on the chain between the loading stoppers.
Removing a pallet from the chain
• Select manual mode from the SU control panel.
• Using the chain manual operation buttons, run the desired pallet to the loading/unloading lo-
cation.
• Remove the pallet from the chain.
10.2.2. Automatic mode
• Lock the SU safety door (optional).
• Reset the SU safety circuits.
• Turn the manual/automatic mode selector switch to the automatic mode position.
• With the indicator light on the automatic mode starting button blinking, push the automatic mode
starting button.
• As the SU switches over to automatic mode, the indicator light on the automatic mode starting
button is lit continuously and the SU chain is positioned at the last address requested by the
program.
10.3. Sorting unit addresses
In automatic mode, the pallets move to the correct addresses on the basis of the sorting address
specified in the NC program. When the sorting unit is used, use the PRESORTING and SORTING
subroutines.
• The sorting addresses of the SU3 range from 37 to 39.
• The sorting addresses of the SU6C range from 31 to 36.
• The sorting addresses of the SU9 range from 31 to 39.
