Why won't the remote work on my Firegear FPB-24LTFS-N?
    • M
      Mary HayesAug 14, 2025
If the wireless remote transmitter won't operate your Firegear Outdoor Fireplace: * Ensure the transmitter is within 25 feet of the control module. * Check that the batteries in the transmitter or battery pack are fully charged and correctly installed. * If using an AC adapter, ensure its leads are securely connected to the “POWER” connection on the control module. * Confirm the “Remote/Off” switch on the control module is set to “Remote.” * Ensure the control module has learned the transmitter’s security code (refer to the learning section on page 8). * Avoid placing the remote transmitter on a metal surface or near large metal obstructions, as this can reduce its operating range.

To address sensor safety issues with your Firegear Outdoor Fireplace: * Press the OFF and then ON buttons to re-attempt normal ignition. * Allow the thermocouple to cool for at least 30 seconds. * Check if a flame is present when the valve is turned OFF; if so, replace the valve. * Ensure the ground wire from the thermocouple and module are connected to the gas valve. * If the 3-probe ignitor is exposed to excessive moisture, allow it 24-48 hours to dry out.

What to do if ignitor sparks frequently on my Firegear Outdoor Fireplace?
    • S
      Sophia CisnerosSep 12, 2025
If the ignitor sparks frequently at the pilot hood during operation of your Firegear Outdoor Fireplace, the control module is generating a spark because the system is in the ON position but the pilot does not light. This could be because the thermocouple may not be hot enough or generating enough millivolts. To resolve this: * Ensure the tip of the thermocouple is clean. * Make sure that wind does not blow the pilot flame out.
