OPERATION
NOTICE
Do
not
mix
oil
in
gasoline
or
mod
i
fy
engine
to
run
on
alternate
fuels
not
described
in
this
manual.
Use
of
unapproved
fuels
could
damage
engine
and
will
not
be
covered
under
warranty.
1.
Clean
area
around
fuel
fill
cap,
remove
cap.
2.
Slowly
add
unleaded
fuel
to
fuel
tank.
Be
careful
not
to
fill
above
the
RED
fuel
level
indicator.
This
allows
adequate
space
for
fuel
expansion.
3.
Install
fuel
cap
and
let
any
spilled
fuel
evaporate
before
starting
engine.
Operation
at
High
Altitude
At
altitudes
over
5,000
feet(1524
meters),
a
minimum
85
octane
gasoline
is
acceptable
.
Engine
power
and
generator
output
will
be
reduced
appro
x
imately
3.5¾
for
every
1000
feet
(305
m)
of
elevation
above
sea
level.
High
altitude
may
cause
hard
starting,
increased
fuel
consumption
and
sparkplug
fouling.
To
operate
at
high
altitudes
FIRMAN
can
provide
a
high
altitude
carburetor
main
jet.
The
alternative
main
jet
and
installation
instructions
can
be
obtained
by
contacting
Customer
Support.

Operation
using
an
alternative
main
jet
at
elevations
lower
than
the

ecommended
minimum
altitude
can

engine

Operating

engine
with

he
wrong
main
jet
may
increa

exhaus

emissions,
fuel
consumption
and
reduce
performance.
Operation
at
High
Ambient
conditions
Your
Firman
Power
Equipment
product
is
designed
and
rat
ed
for
continuous
operation
at
ambient
tempera
t
ures
up
to
104°F
(40
°C).
The
generator
may
be
operated
at
tempera
t
ures
ranging
from
5°F(-15°C)
to
122°
F(50
°C)
for
shor
t
per
i
ods.
If
the
generator
is
exposed
to
t
emperatures
outside
this
range
during
storage,
the
generator
should
be
brought
back
within
this
range
before
operation.
When
opera
t
ed
above
77
°
F(25
°C)
there
may
be
a
decrease
in
power.
Maximum
wattage
and
cu
r
rent
are
subject
to
and
limited
by
such
facto
rs as
amb
i
ent
temperature,
alt
i
tude
,
engine
conditions
etc.
