Overview

This document describes the TZS FIRST AUSTRIA® Induction Cooking Plate, available in two models: FA-5095-2 (single induction plate) and FA-5095-3 (dual induction plate).

Function Description

The induction cooking plate is designed for domestic use to cook and heat food. It operates by generating an electromagnetic field that directly heats compatible cookware, ensuring efficient and fast cooking. The device features a control panel with dedicated buttons for power, temperature/power selection, timer, and a lock function. An integrated fan helps cool the unit's interior after cooking.

Important Technical Specifications

Models:

  • FA-5095-2 (Single Induction Plate): 220-240V ~ 50/60 Hz, 2000 W
  • FA-5095-3 (Dual Induction Plate): 220-240V ~ 50/60 Hz, 3400 W (Power-Share)

Power-Share (FA-5095-3 only): The dual induction plate shares a total power of 3400 W between its two cooking zones. A single cooking zone can operate with up to 2000 W. If one zone is running at 2000 W, the other zone is limited to 1400 W.

Power/Temperature Levels: Both models offer 10 adjustable levels for power and temperature:

  • 200 W / 60°C
  • 400 W / 80°C
  • 600 W / 100°C
  • 800 W / 120°C
  • 1000 W / 140°C
  • 1200 W / 160°C
  • 1400 W / 180°C
  • 1600 W / 200°C
  • 1800 W / 220°C
  • 2000 W / 240°C

Cookware Compatibility:

  • Suitable Material: Metal, ferromagnetic stainless steel, or cast iron.
  • Suitable Shape: Flat bottom with a diameter of 12-22 cm (maximum 26 cm).
  • Unsuitable Material: Non-metallic, non-ferromagnetic, ceramic, glass, aluminum, or brass.
  • Unsuitable Shape: Bottom not flat or too bumpy, or bottom diameter smaller than 12 cm.

Usage Features

Control Panel (Fig. A):

  1. On/Off (1): Press to turn the unit on or off.
  2. Select (Temp/Power) (2): Press to switch between temperature [°C] and power [W] settings.
  3. Display (3): Shows current settings and error codes.
  4. Timer (4): Press to set the cooking duration.
  5. Lock (5): Press once to enable the key-lock, hold for 3 seconds to disable.
  6. [+]/[-] Keys (6): Press to increase or decrease power, temperature, or time settings.

Operation Steps:

  1. Connect the appliance to a power source. A "Beep" will sound, and all indicators will flash once.
  2. Place suitable induction cookware in the center of the cooking zone.
  3. Press the [On/Off] key (1); the display (3) will show [ON].
  4. Press the [Select] key (2) to choose the desired power-level or temperature. The default is power-level; press [Select] again to switch to temperature.
  5. Use the [+] or [-] keys (6) to adjust the power/temperature level.
  6. After cooking, turn off the unit by pressing the [On/Off] key (1) again. The built-in fan will continue to run for approximately 1 minute to cool the interior.

Timer Function:

  • The cooking duration can be set while the unit is operating, from 1 minute to 3 hours.
  • Press the [Timer] key (4) once to access the function. The display will flash [00:00], and the "Timer" indicator will light up.
  • Use the [-] key to set hours and the [+] key to set minutes.
  • Confirm by pressing [Timer] again or waiting for the display to stop flashing.
  • When the countdown reaches 00:00, the appliance beeps and enters standby.
  • Hold the [Timer] key for 3 seconds to cancel the timer at any time.

Lock Function:

  • Press the [Lock] key (5) once to lock all buttons. The display will show [LOC], and the "Lock" indicator will light up.
  • Hold the [Lock] key for 3 seconds to unlock.
  • Even when locked, the unit can still be turned off by pressing the [On/Off] key.

Safety Instructions:

  • Read the manual carefully before first use.
  • Ensure voltage compatibility with your home's mains supply.
  • If grounded (protection class I), ensure wall outlet and extensions are also grounded.
  • Connect to a separate circuit or avoid simultaneous use with other appliances to prevent overload.
  • Place on a clear, flat, heat-resistant surface, at least 5 cm from walls. Ensure unobstructed air circulation above the appliance.
  • Do not place on hot surfaces or near open gas flames.
  • Do not let the cord hang over edges or touch hot surfaces.
  • Individuals with cardiac pacemakers should consult their doctor before use.
  • Do not immerse the appliance or cord in liquids.
  • Do not operate if damaged; seek authorized service.
  • Do not place flammable materials on or near the appliance.
  • For domestic use only; not for commercial or outdoor use.
  • Do not leave unattended during operation.
  • Do not operate with an external timer or remote control.
  • Do not place metal objects on the unit while operating.
  • Be careful of hot parts during operation.
  • Supervise cooking with oils/fats to prevent ignition.
  • Disconnect from power after use, before cleaning, or in case of malfunction.
  • Supervise while hot, even if unplugged. Allow to cool completely before cleaning/storage.
  • Pull the plug, not the cord, to disconnect.
  • Avoid striking the glass plate. If broken, turn off and unplug.
  • Can be used by children aged 8+ and persons with reduced capabilities under supervision and instruction. Children should not play with the appliance. Cleaning by children requires supervision.
  • Keep out of reach of children under 8 years.
  • Manufacturer is not liable for damages from improper use.
  • Repairs must be performed by authorized personnel.

Maintenance Features

Cleaning & Maintenance:

  • Clean the cooking plate after each use to prevent spills from burning onto the ceramic surface.
  • Unplug and allow the appliance to cool down before cleaning.
  • Wipe the ceramic glass surface with a damp cloth, then dry with a clean cloth. Do not leave cleaning agent remnants.
  • Thoroughly clean the entire ceramic glass cooking surface once a week with a commercially available ceramic glass or stainless-steel cleaner.
  • Do not use: dishwasher detergents, scouring agents, aggressive cleaning agents (e.g., oven spray, stain remover), abrasive sponges, or high-pressure/steam jet cleaners.
  • Do not clean with: scouring pads or steel wool, as this will damage the finish.
  • Do not immerse: the appliance in water or any other liquid.

Troubleshooting: The manual provides a table for common symptoms, possible reasons, and recommended actions, including:

  • No power/appliance doesn't switch on: Check plug, power cord, and power supply. If all are okay, contact support.
  • Heating process interrupted/beep sounds: Use suitable induction cookware, place it in the center of the heating zone.
  • Error codes (E0-E8): Specific codes indicate internal circuit errors, unsuitable cookware, IGBT overheat, over/under-voltage, sensor issues, top plate overheat, or power-share failure (for dual zone models). Actions range from ensuring suitable cookware to switching off and waiting for cooling, or contacting customer support.

Environmental Disposal: To protect the environment, dispose of non-working electrical equipment at an appropriate waste disposal center according to local regulations.
