15. Insert the new drive-belt from the gear box end and pass it by the two gearbox
shafts or sprockets by turning the gearbox 25º to one side.
16. Make sure that the new belt is sitting correctly on both pulleys.
17. Move the gearbox back in position and square it up with the other gearbox as even as
possible
18. Ensure that the cutting bar (underneath) position is offset as shown in the
instruction manual.
19. Re-connect the sleeve or chain-connection and insert the safety pin or chain lock.
Tip: start reconnecting the chain by folding one side of the duplex chain up to make
space to insert the two center chain-lock links - then push it through the other side
of the chain insert the outer chain-lock link and fit the safety clip.
20. Re-install the cover plate and tighten up the gearbox.
21. Use LOCTITE 243 on all bolts
22. Tighten the new belt as per instruction manual (approx. 1” total play in the middle of
the belt length)
23. Tighten the 6 nuts holding the swivel arm disc by removing the nuts one by one -
insert LOCTITE into the nut and tighten with a 19mm socket set.
24. Re - fit safety covers (LOCTITE) and greased up hydraulic ram pins and security
screws (LOCTITE)
Now you know how it’s done, you may clean-out and check the belt tension on the other
side also (-:
