Give dulled knives new life
with the Fiskars roll-sharp
designed to sharpen any knife
- straight or serrated - e-
ciently, quickly and quietly.
Function
The most important part of the
Fiskars roll-sharp
is the pat-
ented rotating wheel made of a
special ceramic material, which
eciently grinds away any dents
or burrs from the blade of your
knife and produces a safe, su-
per-sharp edge. The wheel has
been designed for long-lasting
use, sharpening knives at least
1000 times. The guide slot in the
transparent cover ensures that
the knife meets the sharpening
wheel at exactly the right angle.
The Fiskars roll-sharp
works
smoothly and quietly.
Use
1. Set the Fiskars roll-sharp
firmly onto a work top or table.
2. Place your clean knife in the
guide slot.
3. Gently press the knife down
then lift back up about ten
times using slight downward
pressure.
4. For very blunt knives, or ones
with damaged edges, a few
extra strokes may be needed
to complete the sharpening
process.
5. When you have completed
your sharpening, rinse away
any dust on the knife or sharp-
ener - the transparent cover
can be opened for rinsing or
washing by opening the locking
bar underneath.
6. The Fiskars roll-sharp
is fully
dishwasher safe.
7. Never sharpen a dirty knife.
Caring and storage for knives
Store knives in knife blocks or
racks to ensure they stay sharp
longer.
If stored in a drawer,
knives should be kept in a sepa-
rate compartment to protect the
blades.
Washing
Wash each knife separately and
dry it immediately, especially if it
has a wooden handle.
Please
check care instructions for Fiskars
knives, while some are dishwash-
er safe, others should be exclu-
sively hand washed.
Using knives safely
Knives are designed for cutting -
never use them for anything else.
Cut on a base which is softer
than the blade - wood or plastic
chopping boards are ideal.
Use
your Fiskars roll-sharp
regularly
to keep your knives safely sharp -
a blunt knife slips easily.
