Usage Features

The FM 750x offers several features to enhance the riding experience:

  • Pedal Assist System: The eBike provides multiple pedal-assist levels (1 through 5), allowing riders to choose the amount of motor assistance they receive while pedaling. Level 0 offers no assistance, while Level 5 provides the maximum.
  • Throttle on Demand: A thumb throttle allows for full electric propulsion without pedaling, useful for quick acceleration or maintaining speed. The throttle can be used from a complete stop if the bike is in Neutral.
  • Display Quick Start Guide: The integrated display shows crucial information such as current speed, battery level, assistant level, and riding data. It also indicates Bluetooth connectivity and time. Riders can switch between different riding data pages (e.g., trip distance, odometer, average speed, max speed, calories burned) by pressing the 'M' button.

Maintenance Features

Regular maintenance is crucial for the longevity and safe operation of the FM 750x eBike. The manual outlines various maintenance tasks and schedules:

  • Basic Bike Care: This includes general inspection of hardware, wheels, drivetrain, tire inflation, brakes, and handlebars.
  • Monthly or Every 100 Miles:
    • Clean the bike thoroughly.

    • Squeeze and inspect brakes for wear and proper working order.

    • Check the frame, fork, handlebars, and stem for cracks and damage.

    • Check your tires for tire inflation and excessive wear, cuts, or abrasions.
    • Inspect shifters and derailleurs and lubricate the derailleurs.
  • Every 3 Months:
    • Perform all monthly checks.
    • Check the crankset and bottom bracket.
    • Inspect brake levers, shifters, and derailleurs.
    • Lubricate brake levers, shifters, and derailleurs.
    • Lubricate bottom bracket bearings, wheel bearings, and suspension fork.
  • Every 6 Months or, Every 800 -1500 km:
    • Replace brake pads.
    • Replace tires if necessary.
    • Replace cables and housing if necessary.
  • Weekly or Every 100 - 200 miles (161 - 322 km):
    • Adjust/Replace: After each inspection, replace any components that are damaged or show considerable wear and tear.
    • Use barrel adjusters to apply the correct tension to derailleurs and brake cables if needed.
    • Cables stretch over time and will need to be adjusted.
  • Battery Maintenance:
    • Store the battery in a dry, climate-controlled indoor location between 50 °F – 77 °F (10 °C – 25 °C).
    • Check the battery every month, and if necessary, use the charger to charge the battery to 75% charged.
    • Do not leave the battery attached to the bike frame when not in use.
    • Do not open the battery housing.
