OPERATION
Before the rst use
Remove all the labels, sckers and tags,
except the plate of product characteriscs.
Clean the appliance as described in the
Cleaning and Maintenance secon.
Use
CAUTION: Do not use this appliance to
cook or defrost frozen food. All foods must
be completely thawed before cooking them
with this appliance.
NOTE - during the rst minutes of operaon
(only upon rst use), the appliance may
release some smoke and odours, which
soon disappear.
Completely unwind the power cord.
Place the appliance on a at horizontal
surface, ensuring that the power cord is not
stretched.
Use the plate locking device to lock and/or
unlock the plates.
Lightly brush the surface of the plates
with cooking oil. Close the appliance and
connect it to the plug.
Connect the power cord plug to the power
socket. If using an extension, make sure
that it is earthed and suitable for 6A. The
on/o indicator light should switch on,
indicang that the appliance is connected
to the power socket and heang up.
WARNING: The non-sck plates and
surfaces of the appliance may heat up
during its operaon. To prevent risk of
burning, only touch the appliance using the
handle.
Allow the non-sck plates to preheat; the
on/o indicator light switches o.
Use the handle to raise the upper plate.
Place the food on the lower plate, if
necessary, using a heat resistant wooden or
plasc utensil.
CAUTION: Do not use metal utensils on the
non-sck plates, as they could damage the
non-sck coang irreparably.
Lower the upper plate using the handle.
While the appliance is being used, the
on/o indicator light switches o and on,
which is normal, indicang that the cooking
temperature is maintained.
To release the non-sck plates, slide the
locking buon. To reinsert the plates, slot
the plates into the rear xtures and press
next to the locking buons unl the plates
are xed.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Turn o the appliance by removing the
power cord plug from the power socket and
allow it to cool.
When it is completely cold:
Remove the plates and wash them by
hand with hot water and a non-abrasive
detergent. Do not use abrasive utensils or
sponges, so as not to damage the non-sck
coang. If necessary, leave the plates to
soak for a few hours. Wash and clean with
a so and dry cloth. Do not place the plates
in the washing-up machine.
