3. Clean the roof where the Slimline Converter will be installed.
4. Inspect the edge of the hole(s) and the top of the roof to check for corrosion or
chipped paint. Use an appropriate rust inhibitor to treat any bare metal surfaces.
5. Re-check the fit of the Flener Slimline and Slimline Converter in the final location.
IMPORTANT The Slimline must freely rotate with suicient clearance on all sides.
(C) Installation
1. Peel o one yellow tape backing on one of the Slimline Converter gaskets and apply
the gasket to the roof centred to the large hole in the roof.
2. Peel o the second yellow tape backing on the gasket and stick the Plain Slimline
Converter Plate (brushed side up) OR black Riser (gloss side up) centred on the
gasket, in the orientation shown in figure 1. This will dictate the position of the internal
shuer.
3. Apply waterproof adhesive sealant to the roof around the edge of the Slimline
Converter gasket.
4. Turn the Flener Slimline upside-down and apply waterproof adhesive sealant to the
Flener Slimline gasket on the boom side of the base.
5. Place the Flener Slimline onto the Slimline Converter. From the inside of the vehicle,
line up the four holes of the Slimline base with the four holes of the Slimline Converter
using two Slimline Converter screws.
6. Peel o one yellow tape backing on the second Slimline Converter gasket and apply
the gasket to the underside of the roof centred to the hole in the roof.
7. Peel o the second yellow tape backing on the gasket and, using two Slimline
Converter screws for alignment, stick the Branded Slimline Converter Plate to the
gasket in the orientation shown in figure 1.
8. Insert the four Slimline Converter Screws through the Flener Slimline shuer and
Slimline Converter, and finger-tighten into the Flener Slimline base.
9. Use a 3mm (⅛") hex key to evenly tighten the four Slimline Converter screws, slightly
compressing the gaskets.
IMPORTANT Do not overtighten as this may prevent the rotor from spinning freely.
