Fan replacement instructions

1. Remove the feet from the RPM4
2. Remove the enclosure from the RPM4. Don't let the front panel fall on its face when removing the enclosure
3. Remove the Q-RPT module(s) by removing the four screws on the back panel that hold them in
4. Loosen the screws (dont remove them) that hold the electronic chassis (power supply, driver board, micro-board and
barometer) to the bottom enclosure panel
5. Slide the electronic chassis out of the retaining rails to access and replace the fan
6. If you loosen the screws too much, attach the mounting nuts back onto the M3x5 screws and washers. Turn the
chassis upside down to hold the lock washers on the screws if you have to. Leave the screws loose

Summary

RPM4 Fan Replacement Procedure

Remove RPM4 Feet

Remove the feet from the RPM4 unit to begin the fan replacement process.

Remove RPM4 Enclosure

Carefully remove the enclosure, supporting the front panel to prevent it from falling.

Remove Q-RPT Module(s)

Unscrew and remove the Q-RPT module(s) from the back panel for access.

Loosen Electronic Chassis Screws

Loosen screws holding the electronic chassis but do not remove them completely.

Access Fan via Electronic Chassis Slide

Slide the electronic chassis out of retaining rails to access and replace the fan.

Secure Chassis Mounting Nuts

Reattach mounting nuts and lock washers if screws were loosened excessively.

Align and Mount Electronic Chassis

Align mounting nuts into enclosure rails and slide the chassis securely into place.

Install Q-RPT Modules

Reinstall the Q-RPT modules into their designated positions after reassembly.
