Details the items included in the fire-rated backcan kit: one fire-rated backcan and two cable glands.
The FIRE-RATED BACKCAN is a fire-resistant speaker enclosure compatible with specific Focal products.
Decide on the correct location for the speaker installation.
Route the audio cables to the chosen speaker location.
Fit the cable gland into the designated opening for cable entry.
Fix the fire-rated backcan to studs or joists using at least 4 screws (4mm diameter, 3cm long).
Pass the cable through the gland and backcan, leaving sufficient length for connection.
Cut an opening in the plasterboard matching the pre-fitting kit's internal dimensions.
Attach the pre-fitting kit to the fire-rated backcan at the speaker's exact future location.
Fix the plasterboard so the opening aligns with the pre-fitting frame.
Refer to the speaker user manual for final installation steps.
