PRODUCTION DATE CODES AND
SERIAL NUMBERS
A vehicle identification plate is located on the steering console on the left hand side. Whenever
effecting repair or overhaul of the Ford Tractor, the relevant information should be noted and used
when referring to service bulletins or ordering parts.
This plate is stamped with the following information:
• TRACTOR NUMBER - Serial number prefixed by
the letter 'A', 'B', 'C' or 'R'.
• ENGINE - Engine production date code.
• MODEL - Production model code.
• TRANSMISSION - Transmission production date
code.
• UNIT - Production unit date code.
• REAR AXLE - Rear axle production date code.
