TRIP COMPUTER
Press the end of the lever to scroll throu gh the trip computer
displays whi ch will appe ar in the Instrument clus ter. You can
scroll through:
XXX miOdo meter: Registers the tota l miles/kilo meters of
the vehicle.
mi TRIPTrip odometer: Use to register mileage of
individual j ourneys.
mi TO EDi stance to empty: Indicate s approximate distance
the vehicle will travel on the remaini ng fuel.
AVG mpgAverage f uel consumpt ion – Indica tes your
average fuel consumption since the last reset.
AVG mphAverage s peed: Indica tes the aver age speed
calculated s ince the las t reset.
XXX ºF – Dis plays outsid e air temperature.
Press and hold the lever t o reset. Refer to your Own er’s
Guide for mo re information .

INDICATOR LIGHTS
Service engi ne soon ligh t : Illuminate s briey whe n
the ignition is turned on. If it remains on or is blinking
after the en gine is star ted, the on-board diagnostics
system (OBD- II) has dete cted a malfunction. Drive in a
moderate fas hion and con tact your authorized deal er
as soon as p ossible.
Airbag readine ss light : Illuminate s briey whe n
the ignition is turned o n. If this light fails to i lluminate,
remains on or continues to ash after the engine is
started, con tact your au thorized dealer for servi ce
as soon as p ossible. A c hime will also sound if
there is a mal function in the indicato r light.
Upshift ligh t (if equippe d with a man ual
transmission ): Illuminat es when the manual
transmission should be s hifted to the next
highest gear in order to m aximize fuel efciency.

POWER DOOR LOCK
Press to lock/ unlock the d oors. When t he
indicator li ght is illum inated, all doors and
the trunk are locked. When the light i s
off, it indica tes that one or more doors
are unlocked.

BACKUP METHOD OF STARTING
In the event that the ba ttery is low in your int elligent access (IA) key, or if there is
excessive radio frequency interference, you can start the car by holding the IA key to
the back-up location nea r the steering column. T hen, press the ENGINE START/STOP
button and brake pedal ( automatic transmission) or clutch pedal (manual transmission)
to start your vehicle as usual. The vehicle shou ld respond normally as long as the IA
key is held to the back- up location on the steer ing column. The IA key can be removed
once the vehicle is star ted, if desired.

This display is capable of monitoring many vehicl e systems an d alerting y ou to
potential ve hicle problems and various conditions with informat ional messag es. You
can also progr am various v ehicle setti ngs (such as lane change indicator an d chimes),
as well as a ccess and ad just media information. I f your vehic le is equipp ed with
SYNC
®
, the compas s heading wi ll be displayed also.

AUXILIARY INPUT JACK
Provides a way to connect and play mus ic from your p ortable music player over the
vehicle’s speakers.

USB PORT IF EQUIPPED
If your vehi cle has SYNC
®
, you will h ave a USB po rt. This feature allows you to plug
in media pla ying devices , memory sticks, and also to charge devi ces if they support
this feature. Refer to the SYNC
®
section of your Owner’s Guide.

PUSH BUTTON START/STOP IF EQUIPPED
Push button start allows you to start your vehic le by simply pressing the EN GINE
START/STOP button while pressing the brake pedal (automatic transmission) or
clutch pedal (manual tra nsmission), provided your in telligent access (IA) ke y is present
inside the vehicle. To stop the vehicle, simpl y put the car in P (Park) (for automatic
transmissions) or into n eutral (for manual trans missions) and press the ENGI NE
START/STOP button.

MAX A/C IF EQUIPPED
Use to distr ibute recirculat ed air through the instrum ent panel ve nts to cool the
vehicle. Thi s mode is mo re economical and efcient than normal A/C mode.

RECIRCULATED AIR
Press to activ ate/deactiva te air recircula tion in the vehicle cabi n. Recirculate d air may
reduce the amo unt of time to cool the interior of the vehicle a nd also may help reduce
undesired odor s from reaching the interior of the vehi cle.

SPEED CONTROLS ON YOUR STEERING
WHEEL, IF EQUIPPED
To set the speed:
1. Press ON.
2. Accelerat e to the des ired speed.
3. Press SET + and take yo ur foot off th e accelerato r.
o
To set a higher speed, press and hold SET + or press SET +
repeatedly unt il the desired speed is reac hed.
o
To set a lower speed, press and hold SET – or press SET –
repeatedly unt il the desired speed is reac hed.
o
To disengage speed control, tap the brake pedal o r clutch ped al
(if equipped ) or press CAN .
o
To return to a previousl y set speed, press RES (Resume).
o
To turn off, press OFF o r turn the vehicle off.

Press repeatedly to turn the feature on, cycle through yo ur color options
and turn the feature off. When activated, the front/rear fo ot well areas, center
console cupholder and pa ssenger side IP illumina te with the chosen color.

Provides a pow er outlet fo r accessory plugs (only). To prevent a fuse from
being blown, do not plug in an accessory requiring over 12 V DC /180W.

PASSENGER AIRBAG INDICATOR
Illuminates when the pas senger airbag has been tu rned off. Fo r a complete
description of when the system will turn off the indicator li ght and the passenger
airbag, refer to the Front P assenger Sen sing system in the Seating and Safety
Restraints c hapter of yo ur Owner’s Guide.
