ESSENTIAL FEATURES
FUEL TANK CAPACITY/FUEL INFO
Your vehicle has a fuel tank capacity of 12.4 ga llons (47 L) . Use
only “Regula r” gasoline with an octane rating of 87. Do not u se
E85 fuels be cause your v ehicle was not designed t o run on fue ls
with more than 10% ethanol .
TIRE
PRESSURE
The recommende d specicati ons are on
the Safety C ompliance Ce rtication Label
or Tire Label located on t he on the B- Pillar
or the edge of the drive r’s door. As an
added safety feature, your vehicle is equipped with a tire
pressure monitor ing system ( TPMS) that i lluminates a
low tire pressure warning li ght when one or more of yo ur
tires is signi cantly unde r-inated. Refer t o the Tires,
Wheels and L oading chapt er in your Owner’s Guide for
more informati on.
LOCATION OF SPARE TIRE
AND TOOLS
Your spare tire is located in the trunk . Remove
the spare and jack by tur ning their tie-down bolt s
counterclockwi se. For comp lete details , refer to you r
Owner’s Guide.
ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE
Your new Ford Fiesta come s with the a ssurance and
support of 2 4-hour emergenc y roadside ass istance.
Roadside ass istance incl udes such services as:
lockout assi stance, limi ted fuel delivery, battery
jump starts, changing a at tire, towi ng, and winch
out. To receive roadside as sistance in the United
States, call 1 (800) 241 -3673. In Canada, call

EASY
FUEL™ ‘NO
CAP’ FUEL
SYSTEM
With this sy stem, you si mply open the
fuel ller d oor, insert the nozzle and
begin fuelin g. Wait ve seco nds from
the time the refueling noz zle is
shut-off until the nozzle is pulled ba ck
out of the  ll pipe to a llow residual fuel
in the nozzl e to drain i nto the tank.
This system is self-seal ing and theref ore
protected agai nst dust, di rt, water,
snow and ice . To use a portable fuel
container, slowly ins ert the fuel funnel
(located in the spare tire c ompartment
in your trun k), and pour the fuel into the
funnel. When done, clean the funnel
or properly di spose of it. Extra funne ls
can be purchas ed from your a uthorized
dealer. Do not use af termarket funnels
as they will not work wi th the Easy
Fuel™ system and may cau se damage.
HILL START ASSIST
AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION ONLY,
IF EQUIPPED
Hill start a ssist (HSA) makes it easier to
pull away wh en your vehi cle is parked
on a slope w ithout using a parking
brake. When active, this feature allow s
your vehicle to remain sta tionary on a
slope for up to two to t hree seconds
after you rele ase the brak e pedal
thereby giving you time to move your
foot to the accelerator and pull away.
This feature i s activated automaticall y
if the senso rs detect th at the vehicle is
on a slope.

BLIND SPOT MIRRORS
Blind spot m irrors have an integrated convex spotter mirror in the upper
corner on the outside mirrors. These mirrors help increase visibility
alongside th e vehicle; t hereby helping you see a vehicle which may be in
your blind s pot. As the vehicle approa ches, its image will tran sition from
the main mir ror to the bli nd spot mirror. Refer t o your Owner’s Guide for
more informati on.
SOS POSTCRASH ALERT SYSTEM
This system provides audib le and visua l alarms when a crash cau ses the
deployment o f airbags or the activation of the sa fety belt pret ensioners. T he
turn signa ls will ash and the hor n will soun d. The horn and lamps w ill turn o ff
when you press the hazard co ntrol button o r the vehicl e runs out o f power.
KNEE AIRBAG SYSTEM DRIVER’S SIDE ONLY
Located unde r the instru ment panel, this system w orks along w ith the driv er’s
front airbag t o help reduce injury to th e legs. The knee airbag system will d eploy
when the dri ver’s airbag deploys in a collis ion. Ensure th at you are prope rly
seated and res trained to red uce the risk of death or serious injury. Refer to your
Owner’s Guide for more information.

ENHANCEMENT SYSTEM
Your vehicle’s AdvanceTrac
®
system is comprised of two major components -
traction con trol which hel ps avoid whe el spin and loss of tract ion and elec tronic
stability co ntrol which he lps avoid sk ids or lateral slides. Th ese componen ts work
together to help you mai ntain stability and steer ability of y our vehicle during a var iety
of road condit ions. The sy stem activat es automatically each tim e the engine is started
and cannot b e turned off.
PERIMETER ALARM IF EQUIPPED
When armed, the perimete r alarm system will sound the horn and ash the
park/turn lamps if unauthorized ent ry is attemp ted.
TURN SIGNAL CONTROL
Push the con trol up or dow n to the rs t stop to activate the ri ght or left turn signa l. When
changing lan es, tap the control up or down for the turn signa l to ash on e or three tim es.
For informat ion on program ming the lan e change indicator, refer to Multifu nction Displ ay in
the Instrume nt Cluster c hapter of your Owner’s Guide.
INTELLIGENT ACCESS KEY
IF EQUIPPED
Intelligent access (IA) keys allow you to unlock the vehicle
door(s) and start the ca r without using a key (provided your
IA key is wi thin approxima tely three fee t). To unlock the
driver’s door, simply have th e IA key wit hin range (i n your
pocket or pu rse, for exa mple) and pres s the lock button on the
door handle. To start the car, have the IA ke y within ran ge, depress th e brake
pedal (autom atic transmi ssion) or clutch pedal (m anual transm ission) and
press the ENGI NE START/STOP button ne xt to the st eering wheel. The IA key
also contain s a mechanic al key blade which can be used to unl ock the driv er
door if the battery runs low in the transmitter. Simply pres s and hold t he push
buttons on t he edge of t he transmitter and remove the key blade .

Press once to loc k all doors. If all the doors are closed the turn signal
lamps will  ash twice.

Press or onc e to unlock the driver’s door. The interi or lamps wil l

seconds to u nlock all do ors.

Press twice within three seconds to open the trunk.
MOON ROOF IF EQUIPPED
Your moon roof has a buil t-in sliding shade. To open your moon roof, press
the rear of th e SLIDE cont rol. If the sl iding shade is closed, it will open a long
with the moo n roof. To close, press and hold the fron t of the SLI DE control.
To vent, press the rear of the TILT control. To close from a ve nting positi on,
press and hold the front of the TILT control to clo se the moon roof.
HEATED OUTSIDE MIRRORS IF EQUIPPED
When your rear window defros t is activat ed, both out side mirrors w ill be
heated to au tomatically remove ice, mi st and fog.
HEATED SEATS IF EQUIPPED
Press to activate/d eactivate.

Setting the Clock: Press t he H or M bu ttons on the outside of t he multifunc tion
