Overview

The device described in the manual is a FORTIS 20" Fat Tyre Foldable Electric Bike, model FS20FATEBKC.

Function Description:

This is a pedal-assisted electric bicycle designed for personal transport. It provides motor assistance only when the cyclist pedals, and this assistance cuts out when the cyclist stops pedaling or when the speed exceeds 25km/h, adhering to the EN 15194 EU standard (EPAC - Electric Power Assisted Cycle). The foldable design enhances portability and storage convenience. The fat tires suggest suitability for various terrains, including snowy or rainy conditions, though caution is advised.

  • Read all instructions before use; do not skip, substitute, or modify steps.
  • If uncomfortable with assembly, take to a qualified mechanic or contact support.
  • Wear a certified helmet.
  • Adjust speed in heavy rain, snow, or slippery conditions.
  • Use lights and wear bright clothing at night or in low visibility.
  • Do not attempt to repair mechanical or electrical components yourself; contact support.
  • Do not overload the bike (max 100kg) to prevent damage to electrical components or motor/battery overheating.
  • Do not store battery in excessively hot or cold places.
  • Do not carry anything on the rack that hides lights or reflectors.
  • Ensure body and objects do not contact chain or wheels when moving.
  • Never touch charging connector with wet hands or metallic objects to avoid short circuits.
  • Monitor components for wear, shape/color changes, or rust; replace damaged parts.
  • Use only the provided charger; it's for indoor use only. Keep away from water, damp, combustible, or explosive environments. Grip charging port by metal body, not cord, when unplugging.
  • Avoid riding in adverse weather, low visibility, or when very tired.
  • Do not ride after taking drugs, alcohol, or drowsy medication.
  • Not designed for 2 people or additional load of a second rider.
  • Dispose of used batteries in a certified recycling facility, not normal waste bins.
  • Do not over-lubricate; oil on wheel rim, brake pads, or brake disks will reduce braking performance and increase stopping distances, potentially causing loss of control.
  • Do not submerge bike in water or puddles to avoid short circuits and damage.
  • Never modify the bicycle with non-certified parts.
  • Never ride in deep water.
  • Do not use for jumps or stunts.
  • Avoid long-distance rides in the rain.
  • Keep both hands on the handlebar.
  • Avoid sudden braking.
