Secure
the
left

right
shut
off
arm
in
the
ON
position
(tension
arm
raised)
without
loading
a
tape
on
the
transport.

Attach
a
suitable
spring
scale
to
the
pinch
roller
shaft
with
a
short
loop
of
twine,
(shown
in
Fig.
4.3.)

Put
the
G16
in
the
PLAY
mode,
and
positioning
the
scale
as
illustated
in
Fig.
4.3,
slowly
draw
it
in
the
direction
opposite
the
capstan
until
the
pinch
roller
stops
rotating
as
shown
in
the
Fig.
4.3.
