M Series Ceiling Installation Speakers
1 Suitable applications
These speakers can be connected directly to a 100 V system
only. The required power can be selected by the connection
terminals.
These Installation speakers can be installed in ceilings with a
wall-thicknesses of 10 – 40 mm. The spring mounting
brackets support a quick and easy installation.
2 Important hints
The speakers comply with the relevant EU Directives and
therefore are marked with the CE logo.
• Do not expose the speakers to extreme high or low
temperatures (suitable temperature range 0 – 40 °C).
• Do not use aggressive detergents or chemicals for
cleaning..
• For final abandonment take the speakers to your local
recycling station to dispose them environmentally
compatible.
3 Implementing
ATTENTION! There is a high voltage of up to 100V applied to
the speakers in a 100V system connection! Before
connecting the speakers, switch off the amplifier so that the
speaker cable will not carry any voltage!
Take care for the impedance load connected to the amplifier.
If the load impedance is too low, the amplifier could be
overloaded and damaged!
1) Prior to installation, check the ceiling to offer enough
surface and installation depth! The cutout diameter and
mounting depth you can find in the specifications.
2) For installation, saw a cutout according to the
specifications table. Take care for the appropriate diameter!
3) Before connecting the speaker, switch off the amplifier so
that the speaker cable will not carry any voltage!
4) Connect the cable to the terminals which match the
required power (volume) (only .FXCS-M8512FR)..
5) Connect the speaker cable to the spring terminals. Make
sure that all speakers in a system have the same polarity (e.g.
+ = red, - = black).
6) To install the speaker into the ceiling cutout press the
spring brackets upright and hold them in position.
ATTENTION, risk of injurie! Hold the prestressed spring
brackets tight!
7) Shift the speaker with the upright spring brackets into the
ceiling cutout carefully and release the spring brackets to
pull it in until the speaker flange is flush to the ceiling.
