This document is a user manual for Freonic dehumidifiers, covering models FHCD251AWG, FHCD351AWG, FHCD501AWG, and FHCD501PWG.
Function Description
The Freonic dehumidifiers are designed to powerfully remove moisture from the air using refrigeration technology, thereby decreasing the humidity level in a room and maintaining a dry and comfortable indoor environment. They are suitable for domestic use.

Usage Features
- Portable Design: The dehumidifiers are compact and lightweight, featuring casters on the bottom for easy movement between rooms.
- Control Panel: The units are operated via a control panel with buttons for Power, Filter, Fan Speed, Humidity, Mode, Timer, and Mirage.
- Digital Mirage Display: A backlit display on the front shows the actual humidity level, visible from across the room. It can be turned on or off using the MIRAGE button.
- Adjustable Humidistat: Users can select different dehumidification levels based on room requirements. The humidity level can be adjusted in 5% increments, ranging from 35% RH to 80% RH.
- Continuous Operation: The unit can operate continuously, regardless of room humidity, by setting the MODE button to "CO".
- Customized Mode: Preset humidity level settings allow for easy selection of operation modes for specific room types:
- Sleeping Area: 55%
- Living Area: 50%
- Basement: 45%
- Fan Speed: Users can cycle through High, Medium, or Low fan modes. Higher speeds increase moisture removal.
- Timer Function:
- Timer Auto On: Programs the unit to automatically turn on. The timer can be set in 30-minute increments (up to 10 hours) and then 1-hour increments (up to 24 hours).
- Timer Auto Shut-Off: Programs the unit to automatically turn off. The timer can be set in 30-minute increments (up to 10 hours) and then 1-hour increments (up to 24 hours).
- Child-Lock Mode: The control panel can be locked by pressing and holding the TIMER button for 3 seconds, preventing accidental changes to settings. A LOCK indicator will light up when active.
- Automatic Defrost: When frost builds up on the evaporator coils, the compressor cycles off, and the fan continues to run until the frost disappears. Once defrosted, the compressor or fan automatically restarts.
- Water Collection and Drainage Options:
- Drain Bucket (Option 1): When the bucket is full, an indicator light turns on, the unit stops, and a buzzer beeps. The bucket can be removed by pressing its sides and pulling it out gently, then drained. It's crucial not to remove the float from the bucket.
- Continuous Drainage (Option 2): Water can be automatically emptied by attaching a standard garden hose (not included) to the continuous drainage port on the back of the unit. The unit must be placed on a level surface, and the hose should be free of kinks or knots. This mode requires the unit to be set to "CONTINUOUS".
- Pump Draining (Option 3 - Pump Models Only): For FHCD501PWG, an internal pump allows drainage without emptying the bucket. A Pump Drain Hose Kit (including a gasket and drain adapter) is installed on the back of the unit. The drain hose can lead to a drain, sink, or out a window up to 16ft high. This mode requires activating the internal pump via the pump button. Only Freonic drain hoses and adapters should be used in pump mode.
Maintenance Features
- Cleaning the Grill and Case: Use water and a mild detergent. Avoid bleach or abrasives.
- Cleaning the Bucket: Clean the bucket thoroughly every few weeks with cold or lukewarm water and mild detergent to prevent mold, mildew, and bacteria. Do not use harsh chemicals that could scratch or damage the bucket.
- Cleaning the Air Filter: The filter alert light indicates when cleaning is needed. To clean, switch off the unit, pull the filter outwards, wash it with clean water, dry it, and then re-install.
- Storing the Dehumidifier:
- Allow the unit to rest for a full day to dry out naturally.
- Clean the unit, water bucket, and air filter.
- Wrap the power cord with its buckle.
- Cover the unit with a plastic bag.
- Store the unit upright in a dry, well-ventilated area.
