How to fix a Friedrich Air Conditioner that does not operate?

  If your Friedrich air conditioner isn't working, first, ensure it's turned on and the thermostat is set appropriately. Check that the LCDI power cord is plugged into a grounded outlet. If the LCDI power cord has tripped (reset button popped out), press and release the RESET button. Also, check the circuit breaker or fuse and reset or replace if necessary. If there was a power failure, the unit should resume operation once power is restored.

Adjust the temperature to a cooler setting if needed. Clean or remove any obstructions from the filter, indoor coil, or outdoor coil. Reduce excessive heat or moisture in the room by using exhaust fans. If the room is extremely hot, allow more time for cooling. Avoid operating the unit below 60 °F (16 °C). Consider using the continuous fan setting instead of fan cycling mode. Finally, verify that the unit's cooling capacity matches the room size, as these air conditioners are not designed for multiple rooms.
