orderextralterswhenyourstinstallyour

Replacing the Water Filter
In general, you should change the water
ltereverysixmonthstoensurethehighest
possiblewaterquality.TheWater Filter
Status light on the user interface prompts you
toreplacethelterafterastandardamountof
water (200 gallons/757 liters for PureSource
Ultra
TM
) hasowedthroughthesystem.The
waterlterstatuslightonthismodelisnot
performancetestedorcertiedbyNSF.
If your refrigerator has not been used for a
period of time (during moving for example),
changethelterbeforereinstallingthe
refrigerator.
Filter Cartridge
Do not use with water that is microbiologically
unsafeorofunknownqualitywithoutadequate
disinfection before or after the system. Systems
certiedforcystreductionmaybeusedon
disinfectedwatersthatmaycontainlterablecysts.

To replace your PureSource Ultra
TM
water lter:
It is not necessary to turn the water supply off
tochangethelter.Bereadytowipeupany
smallamountsofwaterreleasedduringthelter
replacement.
1 Turn Off the ice maker by raising the wire
signal arm.
 2 Removethelterbypushingontheend/
faceofthelter.
 3 Slidetheoldwaterltercartridgestraight
out of the housing and discard it.
 4 Unpackagethenewltercartridge.Using
the alignment guide, slide it gently into the
lterhousinguntilitstopsagainstthesnap-in
connector at the back of the housing.
 5 Pushrmlyuntilthecartridgesnapsinto
place (you should hear a click as the
cartridge engages the snap-in connector).
6 Turn On the ice maker by lowering the wire
signal arm.
7 Press and hold the Water Filter button on the
Ice & Water Dispenser control panel for three
seconds. When the display changes from Red
to Green, the status has been reset.
 8 Afterreplacingthewaterlterandinorderfor
the ice maker to work properly, it is necessary
toclearairfromwaterltertubing.Onceice
maker begins making ice, allow the bucket to
llcompletely,thendiscardtherstTWOFULL
buckets of ice. It will take at least two days
tocompletelyllthebucketonregularice
making mode or 1½ days on fast ice mode.
