Access the electronic board where the “NTC probe defrosting” evaporator probe is connected
With multimeter set in Ω, check that the resistive value of the probe matches the temperature in the
surrounding environment see tab. NTC
If the resistive value is incorrect or unstable, replace the probe
4. Check that the evaporator fan(s) work correctly
The failed operation of one or more evaporator fans, in addition to limiting the
equipment performance, can accelerate the formation of ice on the evaporator
See also “The evaporator fan does not work”
5. Verify that there are no infiltrations from the evaporator protective casing
6. The incorrect or intensive use of the equipment, as well as an incorrect installation, such as:
- introduction of hot product in the equipment
- equipment installed near heat sources
- a high number of door openings and critical environmental conditions (temperature above +43°C)
- can accelerate the formation of ice on the evaporator
Sensitise the Customer on reducing the number and duration of the door opening
Access the Service menu, internal values and check the number of door openings
made
Sensitise the Customer on always storing the product blast-chilled or frozen and closed in special containers
Where possible, reduce the temperature and humidity of the room where the equipment is
installed
7. To increase the defrosting effectiveness, where required by the operating and/or environmental
conditions, on models with range -25/-15°C; -22/-18°C; -20/-15°C; -6/+4°C; -2/+8°C, act on the
parameters:
d0 to reduce the interval between each defrosting
d7 to increase the dripping time
d8 from adaptive (3) to time intervals (0)
For models with “rtc” clock module, it is possible to set defrosts in real time by setting the time on the
parameters Hd1,2,3,4,5,6
