Make sure all plastic packaging material has been removed from all parts prior to opening
umbrella. Check under canopy for packaging around ribs.
• Turn adjustment knob counter clockwise and slide car half way up main frame (Fig. 10).
Tighten knob by turning clockwise to secure in place.
• Slowly crank handle clockwise to open umbrella (Fig. 11).
• Once fully opened, turn adjustment knob counter clockwise and slide car upward until
umbrella is at a horizontal shade position. Turn adjustment knob clockwise to secure in
place (Fig. 12).

To Attach Umbrella Light: (light sold separately)
• Loosen the light adapter built into the umbrella runner by turning counter clockwise
(Fig. 16).
• Pull down light adapter post to attach the umbrella light (sold separately) (Fig. 17).
To Remove Umbrella Light and Close Light Adapter:
• Remove umbrella light from light adapter post.
• Gently push up the light adapter post back into umbrella runner and tighten turning
clockwise (Fig. 16).
Note:
• It may be necessary to lower umbrella to a reachable height to pull light adapter down
and attach umbrella light.
