Adjusting fan control
You can adjust the fan control in the BIOS Setup U tility. The following settings are available:
• Normal: The system is cooled to ensure that the maximum system performance is always
available and to keep the housing temperature as low as possible.
• Silent: The fan rotation speed, and thereby the noise created by the fan, is redu ced .
The default setting of this system is Silent.
► Call up the B IOS Setup Utility .
► In the menu Advanced - Miscellaneous Configu rations select the Fan Control function.
► Choose the setting Normal or Silent.

in chapter "
Settings in BIOS Setup Utility", Page 66.
With the Fujitsu Utility Function Manager you can also switch between these two
settings with Windows. In the Function Manager, select the Fan menu item with
the options Quiet Mode (corresponds to Silent)andNormal Mode.
