Setting Stick Priority on a
Futaba 9CAP Transmitter
Co-Pilot CPD and FS8 can have a more natural feel when the remote gain is controlled
by the aileron/elevator stick movement. When the stick is moved away from center, the
remote gain will turn off Co-Pilot. This allows smooth snap rolls and loops. When the
stick is returned to center, stabilization is instantly restored and the aircraft exits the
maneuver level.
Follow these steps to set stick priority on a Futaba transmitter. If a different channel is
used for the Remote on/off, substitute that channel for the channel 5 here.
Step 1) The Remote on/off is assumed to be on the Gear switch on channel 5. If channel
6 is needed, set the throws as channel 6 below. Also, to use channel 6 instead of channel
5, change the MASter channel to 6 in program modes 1 & 2.
Here are the details for step 1.
a) Press and hold MODE to enter setup.
b) Roll the knob down to END POINT
c) Press the knob down to select END POINT
d) Press the DOWN button to select channel 5 or channel 6 (which ever one is for the remote on/off)
e) Press the + or – key to select 75%
f) Turn the knob to set the percentages as above.
g) Press END 2 times to exit.
