DRIVING

LKA*
The LKA is designed to reduce accidents caused by unconscious lane
departure.
LKA detects lane markings and road edges through a camera mounted on the
front windshield, and detects road guardrails, etc., through MMW radar mounted
on the front of the body. In addition, it analyzes the driver's driving behavior and
car movement status. When the driver unconsciously makes the vehicle deviate
from the lane due to fatigue, distraction, or a phone call, the system issues a
warning or intervenes in turning of steering wheel to assist in corrective steering
adjustment. A warning or intervention of steering wheel is usually given when
the front wheels cross the lane marking or will cross or hit the road edge.
When the LKA intervenes in turning of the steering wheel for corrective steering
adjustment, the driver may still turn the steering wheel to control the vehicle.
When the torque applied by the system is found improper, the driver can control
the vehicle to travel according to his intention when required.
Pay attention to the conditions for triggering the alarm, because the system may
not always be able to trigger the alarm in the event of lane departure after it is
activated:
● the system is activated without faults
● the instrument shows a speed not less than 65km/h
● the camera detects lane markings
● the system detects unintentional lane departure and there are no other
alarm suppression conditions.
