Reciprocating Saw
blade or higher speed, if the blade overheats or clogs, it may indicate you need a
coarser blade when they become dull,Dull blades will produce poor results and
may overheat the saw.
Metal Cutting
Blades specifically designated for cutting metals must be used for this purpose.
You may use light oil as a coolant when cutting metal, this will prevent overheating
of the blade, help the blade cut faster, and promote longer blade life.
Plunge Cutting
The plunge cutting procedure is only suitable for treating soft materials such as
wood, plaster board or similar! Do not work metal materials with the plunge cutting
procedure!
Flush Cuts (See figure G)
Using elastic bimetal saw blades, items still attached to a wall (e. g. projecting
building elements such as water pipes, etc.) can be sawn off flush at the wall.
Position the saw blade directly against the wall and apply some lateral pressure
via the tool until the footplate faces against the wall. Switch the power tool on and
saw through the workpiece, applying constant lateral pressure.
