This document is a user manual for the Galaxy 177GCT10 Adjustable Speed Conveyor Toaster.
Function Description:
The Galaxy 177GCT10 is a commercial-grade adjustable speed conveyor toaster designed for continuous production of toasted bread or buns. It features a conveyor belt system that moves food through a heating chamber, allowing for consistent toasting results. The unit offers flexibility in product discharge, capable of being configured for either front or rear discharge depending on installation position and user preference. This makes it adaptable to various kitchen layouts and workflows. The toaster is equipped with controls to adjust both the speed of the conveyor belt and the heating elements, enabling users to achieve a desired toast color and toasting intensity for different products.

Usage Features:
The toaster offers two primary controls for operation:
- Speed/Color Control: This knob determines the length of time the product remains in the heating chamber. A slower speed increases exposure time, resulting in a darker toast, while a faster speed leads to lighter toast. This allows for precise adjustment of toast color according to preference.
- Heat Control Switch: This switch has four distinct settings:
- OFF: The unit is completely powered off.
- STANDBY: In this mode, the conveyor belt runs, and both the top and bottom heating elements operate at 25% capacity. This setting is designed to keep the unit warm during quiet periods, reducing start-up time and conserving energy.
- BREAD: Both top and bottom heating elements operate at full capacity. This is the ideal mode for toasting bread, ensuring even heating from both sides.
- BUNS: Only the top heating element operates at full capacity. This setting is specifically designed for toasting one side of a bun, providing a crisp top while keeping the bottom soft.
Before initial use, the unit requires preheating for 20-25 minutes to reach the correct operating temperature for optimal results. The support feet must be assembled before operation. The discharge assembly can be configured for either front or rear discharge by adjusting a metal plate and securing the appropriate chute. For front discharge, the metal plate is pulled up and latched, directing food to the bottom of the toaster. For rear discharge, the metal plate is pushed down to the open position, directing food to the back of the toaster.
Maintenance Features:
Regular cleaning and maintenance are crucial for the longevity and performance of the conveyor toaster.
- Safety Precautions: Always unplug the unit and allow it to cool completely before cleaning. The appliance should never be immersed in water. Steel wool should not be used as it can damage the stainless steel finish and pose an electrical shock risk.
- Exterior & Crumb Tray Cleaning:
- Unplug the power cord and allow the oven to cool.
- Wipe the exterior of the unit with a dry cloth.
- The crumb tray can be removed by pulling it forward. Dispose of crumbs and clean the tray with a damp cloth or sponge dipped in soapy water.
- Refit the crumb tray before reusing the unit.
- Conveyor Belt Cleaning:
- Turn off the toaster and allow it to cool down.
- Turn the unit on and set it to Standby Mode, then adjust the belt to a slow speed.
- Using an abrasive pad, wipe the conveyor belt in a back-and-forth (side-to-side) motion to remove baked-on product.
- Finally, clean the belt with a damp cloth in the same manner.
- Recommended Cleaner: Noble Chemical QuikSan Food Contact & Surface Sanitizer is suggested for cleaning.
- General Care: Avoid scratching or nicking the unit's surface or edges. If damaged, contact customer service. Do not cover the interior with metal foil, as this can cause overheating. Ensure the unit is placed on a flat, well-ventilated surface and supervised during operation.
