Use and Maintenance Manual – pressure-sensitive bumpers type GSBPS 30/35
Carefully inspect the machine controls and connections with respect to the safety bumper. This to
verify that no modifications capable of adversely affect the system were made and that all required
modifications were recorded.
Check status of the sensor surface, coating and relevant connections for damage which could
prevent the system operation as it was designed.
Test correct operation of the safety bumper with voltage ON but with machine idle. Actuation is to be
performed at different points so to make sure that the whole pressure-sensitive zone is actually
tested during a time interval.
If the system is provided with Manual Reset function, check that the machine cannot be operated
until the manual reset has been actuated.
Check that all control units enclosures are closed and in good conditions and that the enclosures can
only be opened with a key or an adequate tool. Check that the key(s) is(are) removed and kept by
the personnel in charge of operations.
WARNINGS:
Only parts approved by Gamma System are to be replaced by the user. If non-approved spare parts are
used or non-approved modifications are carried out, the device operation could be compromised. Failure to
comply with these directions will void the certification and the warranty. Always contact GAMMA SYSTEM.
