P1 SERIES INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Follow all NEC guidelines and local electrical codes.

NOTE: Use Garden Light LED transformers only - Garden Light LED will not repair or replace

under warranty any luminaires or drivers that have been damaged as a result of using other

manufacturer’s equipment. LISTED FOR OUTDOOR USE ONLY

This Garden Light LED luminaire uses LED technology that has an operating voltage range of

10.5 - 18 Volts AC. Garden Light LED recommends using a 15 Volt tap.

WARNING - RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK: This luminaire must not be installed within 10FT

(3.05m) of a pool, spa or fountain.

Low voltage wire is intended for shallow burial only and should be at a maximum depth of 6

inches (152mm).

LUMINAIRE INSTALLATION

Surface Mount Method (see Figure 1.)

1. To prevent electrical shock, unplug transformer from the electrical

outlet before installation or service of Luminaire or Driver.

2. Pre-drill the surface that the Luminaire will be mounted to.

3. Ensure there is a cavity in or under the mounting surface to house

the wire connections between the luminaire and the main supply

lines.

4. Strip the two Luminaire Leads to the appropriate length and attach

them to the Main Supply Lines using Listed Wet Location Wire

Connectors.

5. Fasten luminaire to the surface using the appropriate screws.

Stake Mount Method (see Figure 2.)

1. To prevent electrical shock, unplug transformer from the electrical

outlet before installation or service of Luminaire.

2. Run the Luminaire Leads through the top of the Ground Stake and

thread Luminaire onto the Ground Stake.

3. Drive the Luminaire / Ground Stake assembly into the ground at

the desired location (using a hammer on the edge of the Ground

Stake if necessary).

4. Secure the Luminaire in place using the Locking Screw if desired.

5. Strip the two Luminaire Leads to the appropriate length and attach

them to the Main Supply Lines using Listed Wet Location Wire

Connectors. To protect the wire connection, route the wire in close

proximity to the Luminaire.

same throughout the enre voltage range, ensuring a consistent output

among Luminaires. It is not necessary to balance the voltage to each

Luminaire.

The luminaire leads are threaded through the top of a ground stake, and the luminaire itself is then threaded onto the stake. The entire assembly (luminaire and ground stake) is driven into the ground at the desired location, with the option to use a hammer on the edge of the ground stake for easier insertion. Similar to the surface mount method, the luminaire leads are connected to the main supply lines using listed wet location wire connectors.
