1. SAFETY
Danger of physical injuries:
Fig. W1: Keep children and pets away from the burning torch.
Fig. W2: Make sure that the torch is positioned vertically and
cannot tip over.
Fig. W3: Do not extinguish the flame with liquids.
Fig. W4: Only use the torch outdoors.
Fig. W5: Use the enclosed spoon to smother the flame. Do not try
to blow out the flame.
WARNING: In young children already a sip of lamp oil or even sucking the
wick can lead to life-threatening lung damage.
WARNING: Do not induce vomiting if lamp oil is swallowed. Seek medical
attention immediately or contact a poison control center and display
these warnings.
NOTE: ONLY FOR USE WITH lamp oils not marked with R65 (marking XN –
harmful). The extinguishing spoon must be attached to the wick holder
when the torch fireplace is not in use or stored. The oil lamp must be kept
out of the reach of children during operation and storage.
Handle the product with care. It may be damaged by shocks, blows or
falling from a low height.
Do not place the torch near highly flammable objects.
Do not leave unattended.
Do not move the torch or fill it with oil when it is still hot.
Extinguish the flame only with the extinguishing spoon.
Lamp oil is not suitable for consumption! If swallowed, seek medical
advice immediately. Do not allow to come into contact with eyes,
mucous membranes or skin. Do not inhale vapours.
DANGER! Small parts can be easily swallowed. There is also a risk that the
polybag can suffocate toddlers. Keep toddlers away when you assemble
the product.
2. ASSEMBLY
To assemble the garden torch on wooden shaft:
1. Plug in the ClickUp! wooden shaft into the ground.
2. Fig. A1: Place the garden torch on the wooden shaft. Make sure that
it is engaged.
3. OPERATION
To fill the Torch Fireplace with lamp oil:
1. Fig. O1: Remove the windshield.
2. Fig. O2: Push and hold the wick holder down, simultaneously turn it
counterclockwise and remove it.
3. Fig. O3: Pull the wick between 5 – 10 mm below the top edge of the
wick holder (5 mm v large flame, 10 mm v small flame).
4. Fig. O4: Fill the lamp oil tank with max. 300 ml of commercial lamp oil
intended for this purpose.
CAUTION: Do not overfill the tank. Wait 5 minutes for the wick to
soak up the oil. (If necessary, use a funnel and remove spilled oil from
the surface).
5. Reassemble the garden torch in reverse order.
6. Light the wick.
7. Fig. O5: Extinguish the flame with the supplied extinguishing spoon.
The extinguishing spoon can be clipped onto the handle for storage.
DANGER: Make sure that the torch and the extinguishing spoon
have cooled down before moving, opening, refilling or removing
the torch.
4. MAINTENANCE
The torch and the wick are maintenance-free.
To clean the Torch Fireplace:
Do not clean with chemicals including petrol or solvents. Some can
destroy critical plastic parts.
v If lamp oil has been spilled on the lamp oil tank or the Torch Fireplace,
wipe off the lamp oil with a damp cloth.
5. STORAGE
To put into storage:
The product must be stored away from children.
1. Clean the Torch Fireplace (see 4. MAINTENANCE).
2. Store the garden torch in a dry and closed place. Empty the lamp oil
tank completely before disposing of the product.
6. TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem Possible Cause Remedy
