How to fix Gardol GEMI 1200 if the motor cannot be started?
- MMichele MitchellAug 3, 2025
If the Gardol Tiller motor won't start, first check the mains supply to ensure there is power. Inspect the cable for damage; if damaged, pull out and reinsert the plug. If that doesn't work, replace the cable or have it repaired by a qualified electrician. A damaged safety switch/plug combination will require repair by a specialist workshop. Also, the overheating protection might be activated. In that case, either reduce the working depth, remove any blockage from the tines, or if the soil is too hard, adapt the working depth and work the soil by repeatedly moving forward and backward over the same place. Let the motor cool down for about 15 minutes before resuming work.
