What to do if my Garett ACE 150 makes erratic sounds?
    • A
      Andrew WilcoxJul 27, 2025
Erratic sounds or target ID cursor movement on your Garett Metal Detector can occur for several reasons. Ensure your searchcoil is securely connected and the coil cable is snugly wound around the stem. If you're using the detector indoors, be aware that floors and walls might contain excessive metal. Try reducing your sensitivity setting. Also, check if you are near other metal detectors, electrical power lines, wire fences, benches, or other metal structures.

Why am I not finding specific targets with my Garett Metal Detector?
    • M
      Michael CollierAug 2, 2025
You might not be finding specific targets with your Garett Metal Detector if you are not using the correct mode for your hunting purpose. If you're specifically looking for coins, the COINS mode is the best choice to eliminate undesirable targets. Alternatively, using the All-Metal mode detects all metal targets, ensuring desired targets are present.

What causes intermittent signals on my Garett ACE 150 Metal Detector?
    • J
      jonathangrantAug 8, 2025
Intermittent signals on your Garett Metal Detector can occur if you've found a deeply buried target or one positioned at a difficult angle. Increasing the sensitivity and scanning from different directions might help. In areas with multiple targets, switch to the All-Metal Mode or use PINPOINT to locate all targets precisely. In trashy areas, consider using the Super Sniper™ searchcoil. Also, iron targets may cause intermittent signals, but you can identify them in All-Metal Mode.

Why does the Target ID Cursor bounce on my Garett Metal Detector?
    • M
      Michael CruzAug 20, 2025
If the Target ID Cursor on your Garett Metal Detector bounces erratically, it is likely that you have found a trash target. However, the cursor may also bounce if a good target, like a coin, isn't parallel to the searchcoil or if there are multiple junk targets near the good target. Try scanning from different directions until the Target ID Cursor becomes more stable.
