Why won't my Garland Best 260 P Brush Cutter start?

  There are several reasons why your Garland Brush Cutter might fail to start. It could be due to: no fuel in the tank (add fuel); a clogged fuel filter (clean it); dirty or contaminated fuel (replace it); too much fuel in the cylinder (remove and dry the spark plug); a fouled spark plug (clean the oily deposits); a damaged spark plug (replace it); incorrect spark gap (adjust to 0.6 – 0.7 mm); a breach or break in the high voltage wire (replace or tighten); coil looseness (tighten it); worn, broken, or cemented piston rings (replace or eliminate); a loose spark plug (tighten it); a leak in the cylinder crank case (eliminate it); disconnected high voltage wire and spark plug (tighten the spark plug cap); or a stop switch failure or short circuit (repair or replace).
