Usage Features

The GM710A-YF is designed for ease of use and safety.

  • Operation Panel: The device features an intuitive operation panel with a displayer, HP gauge, LP gauge, and P gauge for monitoring system parameters.
  • Auxiliary Port: An auxiliary port is available for connecting external components.
  • Oil Management:
    • Switch for used oil discharge: Allows for easy draining of used oil.
    • Switch for new oil adding: Facilitates the injection of new oil.
    • Used oil bottle and New oil bottle: Clearly labeled bottles for efficient oil handling.
  • Dry Filter Service Port: A dedicated port for the dry-filter, making maintenance straightforward.
  • Back Door Access: The back door can be unscrewed to access the electronic scale support screw for equipment setup and protective filler removal.
  • Refrigerant Supply: The unit requires a supply of 3 kg refrigerant into the tank for all functions to run normally. Users should refer to the "Refrigerant supply" chapter for detailed instructions.
  • User Manual: A comprehensive user manual is provided for detailed operational guidance.
  • Refrigerant Check: Before operation, users must check for enough refrigerant in the tank (volume should be 2~3 kg) and ensure the used oil bottle is empty.
  • Leakage Detection: The device helps check the automotive A/C system for any leakage, which must be repaired before proceeding with refrigerant recovery.
  • Air Conditioning Check: The automotive air-conditioning can run normally after the process.
  • Recovery/Recycling Process: The unit can recover the refrigerant remaining in the A/C system. The process involves selecting "Recovery/Recycle" from the menu. The display code F00 during the process indicates that the unit is prompting for information. The used oil can be drained automatically or manually. The non-condensable gas will be purified automatically during recovery.
  • Vacuum Process: The unit cleans water vapor from the A/C system. It should be vacuumed for more than 15 minutes, and generally, it needs 15 minutes at least for the air conditioning only with front wind and 20 minutes for with the front and rear wind.
  • New Oil Adding: Fill new oil into the new oil bottle. It's crucial to add new oil 20ml more than the used oil drained out to avoid air entering the air conditioning system. The switch of the new oil bottle should not be pressed in vacuum state, otherwise there is a risk of explosive bottles.
  • Recharging Process: The recharging amount can be set directly or by using the database. The unit supports various refrigerant types (e.g., R134a) and oil types (e.g., Dens oil 8). During the recharging process, if the menu shows that you need to turn on the car air-conditioning to complete the recharging process, the unit will supply new refrigerant into the tank.
  • Auto Mode: In auto mode, all functions run fully automatically after setting the parameters. Before running, users must drain out the used oil entirely and fill enough new oil into the new oil bottle.
  • Database: The database allows users to read refrigerant type and filling amount, and refrigerant oil type and filling amount of the automotive.
  • Auxiliary Port Usage: The auxiliary port is used for recharging from cans. To use it, connect the pipes with the external tank to the auxiliary port. It is important to open the valve of the external tank during this process. Run vacuum function, then open the valve of external tank to recharge the right amount of refrigerant into A/C system. After finishing, disconnect the pipes and re-back the cap to the auxiliary port.
  • Refrigerant Supply: Connect the port of fresh refrigerant tank to the LP port of equipment. Block the HP port of equipment with a cap or HP coupler. It is important to connect to the liquid port of fresh refrigerant tank. If it has no liquid port, invert the fresh refrigerant tank. The supply amount is calculated based on the setting amount (4.5-5) minus the amount remaining.

Maintenance Features

The GM710A-YF is designed with maintenance in mind to ensure longevity and optimal performance.

  • Dry-Filter Exchange: The dry filter must be exchanged when it reaches its life time. The unit provides a message when this is needed. If not exchanged, the dry-filter will not be able to run the recovery and supplying functions.
  • Vacuum Pump Maintenance:
    • Open the back cover: Step 1 involves opening the back cover.
    • Unscrew the block of the drain port: Step 2 requires unscrewing the block of the drain port to drain entirely out the old oil. Then re-back the block to the drain port.
    • Unscrew the cap of the fill port and fill new oil: Step 3 involves unscrewing the cap of the fill port and filling new oil slowly into the vacuum pump until the oil level reaches at the center site. Then re-back the cap to the fill port.
    • New vacuum pump oil: It is crucial that the new vacuum pump oil cannot be filled too much into the vacuum pump, otherwise it will spray out when working.
    • Re-back the cover: Step 4 is to re-back the cover.
  • System Inquiry: Users can check the working status of the machine through the system inquiry function.
  • Printer Test: The printer can be checked for functionality.
  • Equipment Info: Provides information about the machine, which can be useful for troubleshooting or service.
  • Help Messages: The device offers help messages to guide users through various operations and maintenance tasks.

Safety Precautions:

  • The machine is designed to be used and repaired by qualified personnel only.
  • It is designed for use in recovering R12, R134a, or R1234yf refrigerant fluid used in the air-conditioning (A/C) systems of motor vehicles.
  • Always check the vehicle use and maintenance manual for the type of refrigerant fluid used by the A/C system. Do not mix different types of refrigerant.
  • Keep away from moving parts and rotating elements such as cooling fans, alternators, and heating components.
  • Wear protective clothing, gloves, and goggles.
  • Ensure the engine is turned off and the ignition key is in the full OFF position.
  • Do not expose the machine to direct sunlight or rain.
  • Never exceed 30° tilt in transit.
  • Do not touch the machine high voltage power supply section.
  • Care of the manual is important for continued safe and effective use.
