Thedecisiontodisinfectmustbemadepertheinstitution’srequirementswithan
awarenessoftheeffectontheintegrityofthedevice.Donotuseexcessivedrying
techniques(e.g.,oven,forcedheat,sundrying).
1.Turnoffthepowertothedevice.
2.Disconnectthedevicefromthepowersupply.
3.RemovetherecorderandE-modulefrommonitor.
4.Removeallcablesandbattery.
5.Closebatterydoor.
6.Dampenasoftlint-freecloth,orusedisinfectantwipeswithoneofthepermitted
disinfectants.
7.Wringexcessliquidfromtheclothandwipetheexteriorsurface.Payspecial
attentiontohardtocleanareas,likegroovesandcrevices.Allowdisinfecting
solutiontoremainondeviceperdisinfectantinstructionsorperhospital
guidelines.
●Anycontactofdisinfectingsolutionswithmetalpartsmaycausecorrosion.
●Donotdamageorbendanyconnectorpinswhencleaningordrying.
●Donotletuidpoolaroundconnectionpins.Ifthishappens,blotdrywith
acottonswaborsoftcloth.
8.Wipeoffthedisinfectingsolutionwithaclean,lightlymoistenedcloth.
9.Drythoroughlywithadry,lint-freeclothandletairdryforatleast30minutes.

10.Reconnectthedevicetothepowersupply.
11.Reconnectallcables.
